Continuing Care Community in Auburn, California

My mom was in Brookdale. I really liked the place, but when she went to the hospital for two weeks, they continued to charge us for medical and insulin dispensing. I was unhappy with that. Other than that, I would recommend them.

My brother has been staying at Sierra Ridge Memory Care since December 2017. It's very nice. My brother doesn't get involved with activities, but they have music and games. The dining area seems to be nice and clean, too. The food looks good. They have a place where they cut their hair and a place where people go to sit, play music, and play games. The staff members are all very nice, very friendly, and clean.

My dad moved into Brookdale. The director, Joyce, is wonderful. The place is homey, and the people are nice, and not snooty. The staff is loving, and they really care about the people. I had a really good, wonderful feeling about it, and he likes it there, so that's the important part.

It is a great place. The food is good, the amenities are good, too. The staff is friendly, even the residents are all friendly. They have field trips and they have a Bridge group. Once a month, they have a Sunday Sundae. I've only eaten there once, but it was very good.

Brookdale Auburn was a very good place, but they didn't have independent living. The rooms looked fine. They were clean and well-maintained. The staff did a fine job with the tour.
