I really liked Fair Oaks Estates, but the rooms were a bit smaller than the other places we visited. They only had one big room with a bath. The facility was very nice, and the staff accommodated us very well. They showed us their exercise room, activity room, library, and dining area.

Fair Oaks Estates would be the best fit as far as budget and everything else if we had to go full time. It's a single story, and stairs are not my mom's thing. The price, value, and accommodations is what we need. They had a bus, but they had less amenities than the other ones. They had a library and a nice little community room where the residents could gather and play cards, read books, and chitchat.

Everything was really dated at Fair Oaks Estates. If your parents or anyone that needs care has an addiction issue, like my mother, they might want to make sure that the facility does not serve alcohol. I feel like there has to be a little bit more control with that because the alcohol was pretty accessible. That's the only thing I was concerned about, that they allow the residents to drink there. We ended up leaving as soon as we found out about that. I saw the rooms and the dining area, and everything was very dated. They need to upgrade a little bit more. The only place that was OK in the whole facility was the restroom. Everything else did not look brand-new, but it was clean. They charge you just to eat there, so we didn't do that. The staff seemed very pleasant and knowledgeable.

My sister stayed at Fair Oaks Estates. It seemed like a good place. It was clean, and they seemed courteous, but the food was not as good and didn't have as much diversity as the others. There were no activities when I was there. The staff seemed very nice, but the upper management keeps it down. They could improve by having more activities and better food.

Fair Oaks Estates is clean, organized, and the staff is friendly. The rooms are OK and big, but they're too simple, empty, and the closets are very small. The facility is OK, but the service is a little bit inadequate. I was greeted by a very friendly lady who was eager to show me everything. We're looking for a place that has active retirement, assisted living, memory care, and hospice, and Fair Oaks is not that place. I also noticed that during lunchtime they're understaffed.
