Chatsworth is a town in southern California, in the Northwestern corner of the San Fernando Valley. It is only about an hour away from Los Angeles, putting it close enough for day trips into the city, but far enough away to be free of traffic. As of 2008, the estimated population of Chatsworth was 37,102. The area has a rich history, having spent time settled by Native Americans, Spain, and Mexico before being granted to the United States. There is a town park as well as a recreation center, and also several parks surrounding the town that showcase the area’s caves and rocky landscapes.
