We moved my sister-in-law into Orchard Park, and we have been extremely happy with it so far. They're a very good community. They're very thorough and very caring. They have a church service every Sunday morning, a Wednesday night service for them, and a Tuesday night bible study. They also recently took all of them from the memory care group out to a lake for a couple of hours and let them just enjoy the outdoors. They have other activities. They keep me informed of the things that are going on, and she has really enjoyed all of the activities. Their idea is they don't want them back in their room until bedtime. They pretty well let them choose what they want to eat. She is almost a vegetarian, they do very well for her, and she's very happy and loves the food. I've been there more than one time with them during mealtime. I've seen the food, but I haven't tasted it. Her room is very clean and just outstanding.

I visited Orchard Park. I didn't see as many interactions between workers and residents there compared to the other place I visited, but I had a feeling the people there were OK with where they're at. I didn't see very many staff members, like there wasn't any staff around when they were eating. It could have been that they just weren't around when I was there. This community was OK, but I wasn't impressed. They were in the process of remodeling some of their rooms. It was an older place, but it seemed clean. Remodeling with people living there is very hard, so they have to wait until the person living there has moved out before they can remodel each unit. The rooms were very small, but they're adequate for one person. The environment there is homey. The people are into decorating the outside of their doors, and they allow that. They also have long-time residents there. There were just small things I didn't like. Their garden area wasn't as big as the other community we went to, and I didn't see a pool.

My mother is at Orchard Park. The people that work there are very professional and they helped us get her settled. They're renovating it. When I was there, they really were trying hard. There is definitely communication between my sister and them. We have no complaints at all. She likes to read and paint, so she took a painting class. She has two dogs, and they're helping her with them. They have a senior resident dog also. The food is good.

I visited Orchard Park. I met two staff members. They offer a 2-bedroom apartment and I liked that. I saw the library, hairdresser, and the studio room. I got the list of activities, and there's something resident can do every day, which is perfect for mom, because she needs something every day.

I really like Orchard Park so far. It seems like a nice place and they have a lot of different activities and things going on to keep the residents busy. The staff was friendly and informative, they let me know exactly what's going on better than in other communities. I joined my mom when they did a barbecue on the 4th of July and there were hotdogs and burgers for everyone.

Orchard Park was a nice place, but my grandmother needed more care than what they could offer there. The staff was nice and they were able to accommodate us, but it wasn’t the correct place for my grandmother. They had a very nice dining room, everything was relatively new, and they had a lot of activities on the calendar.
