Nestled in a quiet block in the City of Downey, The Downey Retirement Center is a senior living community that is specifically designed to provide comfort, safety and security to our senior residents. Conveniently near the PIH Health Hospital-Downey and Stonewood Shopping Center. Our community aims to provide our residents to the things they dreamed of and enjoy their retirement as we focus on their everyday needs.

At the Downey Retirement Center, residents are provided a home-like environment, free from the daily concerns associated with living alone, while enjoying still their independence. As we get older, performing what used to be simple tasks like housekeeping, preparation of meals, and laundry can become burdensome for many seniors.

As we age our mobility is greatly affected that is why it is important to live in a place that is designed for seniors. Our community has wide open hallways and elevator access for easier mobility of our residents. Residents eat heartily together on our immaculate spacious dining room where food are served restaurant style. We have a game room where a heated game of cards and bingo is held every night.

Residents stroll and exercise while they breathe fresh air from our gardens that is full of vibrant flowers. Our in house salon provides haircut and other services to our residents. Remain connected with your family and friends everyday through our computer room with internet service. Residents can choose from our studio apartment or companion suites that are spacious, clean and well-kept that has access balcony or courtyard.

Available Services

To ensure the safety and comfort of our residents our competent and caring staff are available 24 hours a day. We encourage our residents to be independent as much as possible but should their needs to enhance the quality of life we provide assistance in medication management, personal care and in daily activities.

Delicious food are served three times a day and that can be catered to meet their required dietary needs because we believe that one of the important key to maintaining good health is food. For the wellbeing of our residents we have designed different activities like adult education classes and programs that stimulates the mind and keep them engage.
