Moving to The Terraces was the best decision I could ever make for my dad with his Alzheimer's disease. The staff are kind, empathetic, caring, attentive, responsive, helpful, thoughtful, actively involved daily with the residence, supportive, and innovative in their approach to daily activities and living with memory care issues. Elizabeth is fantastic and runs the activities. She keeps them engaged & busy, and gets to know each residents likes and hobbies to incorporate things into her programs. It's a great comfort to the families knowing that they are with a staff who are experts in dealing with memory care issues. The doctor was going to increase my dad's medication because of behavioral issues at his prior memory care community. Once he moved to The Terraces, we realized it didn't need to be changed, he just needed to be more engaged and active. He's doing amazing and far better than when he got there.

Our mother required a very high level of care due to her very poor health and you and your team were so very attentive, and worked so very hard to ensure all of her needs were attended to! There is no level of care that is more than Family commitment to a loved one and that was the level of care you provided. Because of you, JRBella home is so very special... We will never forget that evening towards the end that you came back to check on Mom, and as very weak as she was, she perked up when you whispered in her ear as you did so often.... Brookdale Central Whittier is an excellent facility; it's nice and clean. The staff was very nice, and what stood out is its cleanliness, because that's what I want for my mother. They have a lot of activities, and my mother would have enjoyed being there if she were to be there. They seem like they like the staff. They've probably been there awhile, and it seemed like that was home for them.

Brookdale Uptown Whittier facility is very clean, I like the staff, and I like the amenities. They have good exercise programs for seniors, just like the other place we toured. They take the residents on trips and outings, which I liked. They have the same type of programs for their affiliate community, which we also toured.

My sister moved into Brookdale Uptown Whittier, and they are wonderful. I love the staff, and they have done well. They were very attentive, and they really pay attention to the people. I went in there to check it out before my sister moved in. They were very nice and very informative. It's a two-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette, and it was perfect for her. I don't think they have many activities yet because of COVID, but I think they are starting to have them again. They have started to allow friends and family to visit. It looks like they have begun serving meals in the main dining area. Everything seems to be perfect. They don't have a coffee shop because there is one within walking distance. They do offer coffee in the mornings. They have a library, and they have a place where they can do puzzles; they have quite a few things. They are informative, and they let me know if something is going on with her. The food was great. I've seen the menu, and it is put together well.

I visited Rancho Village in Palmdale, and it's very good. I know people who are currently residents there, too. There was a person named Lisa who is very good and very nice, and she facilitated the tour. They asked if I had time to go sit down and have lunch with them, so I did. I looked at a studio and a one-bedroom, and they're a good size. They have all the standard amenities like a cafeteria area, a study room, and a social room.

I went to Brookdale Central Whittier. The lady there is very good. She is a very nice lady. It's a large facility. It wasn't updated, but it was clean and it didn't smell. The rooms were large. They were nice and clean. The staff was really nice. The dining area was large. They only have one dining room. There's an exercise room and a snack area. They have what they call Netflix and Chill. They also have Brookdale bookstore, arts and crafts, card games, resident engagement, and video calls with family. The only thing that I didn't like about the facility itself is that there are carpets throughout the place. They said they're changing that, but in some areas the carpet wasn't really clean. They had changed the carpets in the rooms, but they hadn't changed them in the hallways.

My parents are in Rancho Village. They staff and service is excellent, and the apartment is well-maintained. The meals are healthy, and the staff is very cordial. They have an exercise area, classes, a barber shop, and transportation. They have bingo, and I just saw they had some musicians come in and serenade them.
