I like Overture Riverwalk, but I'm having problems getting in because they said my credit rating was too low. I really want to move in there, but as of yet I haven't gotten the OK. The apartments were nice. It's close to where I live, it's in a nice area, and I like the programs.

I don’t know where to start because every aspect of this place is so poorly managed. The worst thing is that the meds are not always provided as they should be--meds these people need to survive. They seldom answer the emergency button in a timely manner. I\'ve known residents who have had to wait for hours. The food is the poorest quality you can buy. It is so dry, you can’t eat it. The rolls and bread are old and dried out. If you get a sandwich the meat is so thin that you can’t taste the meat. Fourth, they are consistently short on help. I have heard these \"professionals\" yell at residents and literally gang up on them. It is very rude and difficult on these elderly people. The residents are afraid to say anything because the staff and management all stick together, and if they find out you called the state or the ombudsman, they retaliate. As for the reviews for this facility, they do not reflect how this place is run now. Most of the reviews are 2018 or before, when this place was called the Meridian. It was decent back then. Please read the latest reviews. I would hope you wouldn\'t put your loved one in Arlington Riverside Senior Community without looking into every aspect of this facility. Much of the information on their website is from when it was The Meridian. Lately, they\'ve been sprucing up the outside--I expect to draw more residents. Don\'t be fooled, the money could be so much better spent on decent food and enough help. When you\'re in your 80s and only a few years left, this is not the place you want to spend your last hours, especially if you need assistance. Very little assistance is provided in this \"assisted living\" facility because there simply is not enough staff. I could go on and on with the problems. Just make sure you know what you\'re getting into.

I have friends who have been in this facility for over a year. If I had the money, I would move them out in a heartbeat. Pre Covid 19 this place was terrible, now it is worse. They are consistently short staffed, the residents are treated poorly, and the food is not fit to eat. Every meal is carb-ridden, poorly cooked, and very poor quality. They do not get baths or showers on a regular basis. They used to have cable, but the facility cut it out making their lockdown even more uncomfortable. During Covid, they are not properly social distancing. Often the caretakers and management are not wearing masks when they interact with the residents. Sometimes, it is ten or eleven o\'clock before the residents get put to bed because they are so short-handed. This is not because of Covid--it was like that before hand as well. They have waited on the toilet after being seated on it for as long as 45 minutes before returning to help them. The residents have emergency buttons and callers to reach the caretakers, but they are often not answered. Sometimes they are left for hours without responding.

Pacifica Senior Living Riverside Legacies Memory Care was nice. The manager of the facility was wonderful. We looked at the single and double rooms. The rooms were a little bit smaller than where my friend is, but they were homier, which to me is more appealing than where he currently is.

My wife moved into Pacifica Senior Living. It's very homey and inviting. The staff is very kind, responsive, they do their jobs, and they're very nice people. They provide arts, exercises, music, and spiritual stuff. They're all good.

Sunrise at Canyon Crest was beautiful, but it's a little higher priced than what my friend could afford. The rooms were beautiful and very well kept up. The personnel were lovely, and the residents seemed very happy. I have a friend who's a resident and they're very happy there. We liked it very much. They were doing a word game when I was there. We saw the dining room, the menu, and the kitchen. The kitchen personnel were wonderful, very accommodating, and well-rounded in what they were doing.

The food we ate at Welbrook Arlington was very good, and the lady that helped us was excellent. The rooms seemed small, but adequate. The programs were good, the residents were listening to the piano, and there were lots of activities.

Magnolia Grand was nice and everybody was friendly, but it was too much money. They had a very nice dining area. They wait on you like you're in a nice restaurant. Everybody was served on a tray and brought the individual dishes. I only saw the outside of the apartment. My daughter-in-law's aunt lived there and loved it. She stayed there until she died. The only activity I observed was them having lunch. When I scheduled the tour, they said they're going to invite me to a complimentary lunch, and when I got there, the staff member said they'll make me a sack lunch to go. She wasn't too nice. It was a very clean facility.

My father is a resident here; it's a great place. The service there is wonderful, they're very caring, and the room is larger than he had before. The living quarters are spacious and the amenities are good. The best thing is that the staff is very caring and attentive.

California’s Medicaid program is called Medi-Cal, and it pays for a variety of medical services for low-income California residents of all ages. Medi-Cal is an umbrella program made up of numerous smaller programs which are focused on specific demographic groups, such as children, the disabled and the elderly. It provides services including preventative medical care, mental health care, personal care, prescription assistance and nursing home care to eligible residents. To qualify, an applicant must:
Supplemental Security Income
California provides Supplemental Security Income to anyone with limited income and few resources. The program is administered by the Federal Social Security Administration, and the payment is automatically added to the applicant’s federal SSI payment. The amount of the supplement varies depending on an applicant’s income. In California, SSI recipients cannot get SNAP benefits because the state adds money to the federal SSI payment instead. To qualify for SSI, applicants must:
