I visited this facility

I toured and I would love to move into that place. Most of the rooms were singles with a living room. They had a nice little area to watch television so you wouldn't be sitting in bed all day. The staff members that I met were very cordial. I walked around, looked at the dining area, and how the meals were prepared, because I'm a chef. We had lunch there. It was a little on the bland side, but it could be the dietary restrictions of the people there. You are able to get out of the facility and go on a shopping tour, which seemed fine.

My father moved in. It's a very good place, the staff is very good, he has a studio apartment, but they also have a 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and deluxe suite. They have fellowship, chapel, catholic service, bingo, and various clubs like reading club, walking club, and exercise club. Our overall experience is very good.

I visited this facility

We liked it, it was nice, but they were getting ready to do a big renovation. The common spaces will be changed, but it was okay. The rooms were very nice, they were clean, good, and I liked the fact that have their own heating systems in each room. But they were small, and there were practically no kitchen facilities, so I didn't like that. I saw the menu, it was very restricted, there were not a lot of choices, and so it would be very hard for me to find an adequate diet for myself.

We visited here and it's good. We had lunch there and they showed us the whole place. It's a four-story building. It's one of the places that I considered for my sister. The room is reasonable, the location is in close vicinity to the dining room and all those things. I noticed the community room where they have activities. I saw the dining room, library, and the game room where they do bingo; it's a decent place. We like it. The food was very nutritious, and the staff is fairly polite and cooperative. I think the staff is really friendly. We saw their meal time, and they were getting ready for their musical event for that afternoon during our visit. They don't have as much outdoor space as other places I visited.

It was fine. I had lunch there, and it was great. I liked it. I would like to have access to a pool, but they don't have one. The studios were very small, and I think I would have to go for a 1-bedroom. The people who showed me around were great, the servers in the dining room was good, and I had a hotdog, which wasn't great, but it was OK.

I visited pacific Gardens, but the lady that was supposed to show us around never came down, and we ended up having a substitute that was not very knowledgeable about the facility. The rooms were accessible, but nothing stood out to me, and they were very plain. The whole building needs an updated look to it; it just wasn't appealing. They were doing a "Dear Abby" discussion with some the residents when we were there, and that seemed good. I know they have arts and crafts. They had three set meals a day, we saw a beauty salon, a gym, an outdoor area, and they do barbeques. They have transportation.

I visited this facility

It was a very good place. If you don't have a heck of a lot of money, it'd be a nice place to move to if you needed care. The facilities were great, the parking was OK, the food facilities looked good, and the staff seemed very good. The person who gave the tour did a very good job and was very thorough.

I was disappointed with the tour at Villa Serena, because the lady that we were supposed to meet wasn't there, and the manager we spoke to didn't seem too knowledgeable. It didn't look like they were expecting us, and the tour wasn't complete. We saw one room, and it was nice. They have a nice pond with ducks outside. They have several buildings, and in order to get your mail, you have to go outside. That's fine in good weather, but in bad weather, I wouldn't care for it. You have to go from one building to the next to go to the dining room. There was also no follow up after the tour, so it seemed like they weren't interested.

My mother-in-law is in here. Everything is great. The staff is very good. She's in a studio. The food is very good. She attends an exercise class there, and it's a very friendly and great community for her.
