We liked Pacifica Senior Living Vista, it seemed like the care was really good, and it's in my brother's budget. The rooms were a good size, the staff seemed nice, and it was really clean. One thing we noticed that seemed interesting was we saw more residents walking around here than the other places we went to, and we like that. Some were outside, some were walking in the halls, and some were in different rooms. In some of the places we went to we didn't see anybody, just maybe one or two out of a hundred residents. In this facility, we probably saw thirty people out of a hundred, so we like that. It seemed to be more active, and the people seemed to be active, too, like my brother. We wanted a place where he wouldn't sit in his room all day. They have a one-bedroom-apartment type of room. They have a bus that takes residents to field trips and doctor's appointments. There's also a kind of walking path.

My mother moved into Alta Vista about ten days ago and is very happy so far. Leading up to getting her there from a bad out-of-state situation required a lot of coordination and help. Holly was AMAZING during the entire process! She had a wonderful attitude and helped us every step of the way, even returning a phone call on her day off. On move-in day David, the Executive Director, helped get my Mom into a spare room while we awaited the delivery of the bed we ordered. Everyone has been wonderful. Carrie and Rachel from the front desk are super sweet and very helpful. My Mom has commented on how nice all her caregivers are and how good the food is. I think my Mom will continue to be very happy there.

A+ friendliness, taking time for our needs. A+ food, attractive presentation and clean. A+ making a point of using first names thus conveying atmosphere of family and constant friendliness. A+ well organized and supervised activities. A+ comfort and caring and variety. A+ interesting trips and entertainment. I have very little I could think of to complain about Alta Vista. I'm just very happy with being here. It is remarkable. The lighting that they have indoors is all placed in exactly the right places. The light from the patio door is very sufficient because we don't spend that much time in our rooms. We are involved in so many different things. I have been here since June. I'm on the second floor because I have hearing problems. My brother didn't want me living down on the first floor with a patio door. He didn't feel that would be good for me. We have laundry service and cleaning service. It is also the first place of this type that I have been in where you can put your trash outside your door any time of the day as long as it is tied up and secure. It is such a wonderful thing to be doing. We all keep our places very odor-free. It is always taken care of; I don't think it is outside your door for more than two hours. Whoever comes by to pick up a resident and bring them somewhere, whoever comes by to remind them that it is mealtime or anybody else that might be delivering food, they pick up whatever you have outside your door. That's great. It is A1! They're doing a lot of remodeling here right now. There has been a lot of changing of areas for activities and for eating because they re-did the dining floor. The management has done really well with working with the people that are doing the work. I would recommend it. In fact, I'm so enthused about my place that I have it decorated, and the management said that I did a good job. We also have transportation to doctor's and once a week to Walmart. And once a week we also have a ride to a place where we have something of interest.

I like Alta Vista Senior Living. It's a nice facility and they're remodeling it. The personnel is very nice. It's close to doctors' offices and right next door to a hospital. They have activities and excursions to take the residents out on. Their dining area has great food. My father loves the food there. There are a lot of stains on the carpet and I wasn't too impressed with that, but overall, I like the place. It's a great fit for my dad, and I understand that they're going through renovations.

Alta Vista Senior Living was under construction, and they had holes in their wall, and were laying down carpet. Having my mom go into assisted living for the first time, I didn't want her to immediately hate it or think that it is what it is. I just wanted a really easy move-in process. The timing wasn't right. The staff member was great and answered all of my questions. They have an activities board, and there were support dogs and an exercise class going on when I visited. The layout seemed great and the structure seemed fine. It's older, and it's going to be a little bit nicer since they're updating.

We didn't like it. It seemed disorganized and not well maintained. It didn't impress us at all. It needed maintenance. Even from the outside it looked like it needed work. They had painted something and there were paint drippings all around the concrete outside. It just was sloppy.

My father has been in Vista Gardens Memory Care for almost a year now. The grounds are very nice. My father comments on how nice the place is and how nice the people are when we go and talk to him. The staff members are very nice and caring. They call everybody by name, both the residents as well as families. When they have concerns, they'll bring them to our attention. The rooms are nice, clean, and large. They have both shared and private rooms. They have daily activities, too. People come in to take them out to walk in the garden. They have special events, motorcycle club, car club with an antique car show, carnivals, and various activities for them to get involved in.

We were supposed to go here, but the room they offered didn't have any sunshine. The place is a bit confusing, but the food is very good. They also have covered parking and basement storage, which we don't have at our current community. The space was OK, but the color scheme wasn't very good. It's dark and they re-carpeted it in dark brown so it looks gloomy.

My caregiver is from Home Instead Senior Care. She is very nice, happy, and always on time. She takes good care of me and does extra stuff, like helps me with the computer and TV. She does shopping for me, too. I recommend Home Instead Senior Care because I'm very happy with them. They take care of everything that I need.
