Description of The Argyle
The Argyle is an assisted living community in the Highland neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. We have been serving seniors in the Denver area since 1874. Our community features 137 private studios and private baths. The Argyle is non-profit and has an extremely strong mission to care for seniors at an affordable price.
Included in our basic services, our residents enjoy three meals a day, weekly housekeeping, weekly laundry, transportation to outings, 24-hour front desk security, robust activity program and a wellness program to encourage strengthening and stamina in our residents. We do have an outdoor smoking section. We love pets; however, we only invite pets to visit and not to live in the community.
Our community will be renovating our common areas and resident rooms over the next two years and we are very excited to provide an updated community to live and work.

The tour at The Argyle was a good experience. They do cover Medicaid. The community was very good and very clean. The gentleman I spoke with was very helpful. The people were very knowledgeable and helpful. We did see a studio, it was not spacious, but it was adequate for one person. They serve three meals a day. Their activities director sets up daily activities. They provide transportation too.

I was most impressed with The Argyle. I liked the location. It was like a community with lots of stores and that sort of thing. Also, I liked the fact that it's really quite old and I really liked the architecture of it. I also liked the people that were staying there. I would love staying there myself and maybe someday I will. The rooms were very nice and big, nicely appointed, and very comfortable. I went along with my feelings about the place itself. It was a comfortable place. The staff member I spoke to was very good and he spent the time to let me know what the place is all about. The facility was excellent and reasonably priced.

We chose The Argyle for my mom because of the location, atmosphere, and the good staff. They're very friendly and compassionate. It also has an assisted living and enhanced assisted living, so if there's a little more need than just the regular assisted living, you don't have to go into a nursing home. There are stages, so if there's a little more needed care, they have Raleigh Gardens with nice rooms that look out onto the street. On top of that, they have music therapy where they give each of them a little mp3 player with calm music. They also have a little exercise therapy room, their own hairdresser who comes Mondays and Tuesdays, and an activity program. It's quite an interesting caring facility. People I talked to there love it. Mom has been there less than a week and she's adjusting, but she says that the people taking care of her are good. The staff is great.

The Argyle was old and dingy, and it was in a crowded area. The carpet was dirty, but the people were nice. However, the staff member was very nice, very helpful, and gave me a lot of information. I was pleased to sit down and talk with him.
