My mother has been in Brookdale Fort Collins for three weeks now. So far, it's been great. They're very sweet and friendly people. My mom's apartment is nice and clean, and she likes it. Communication has been great. I don't have any complaints at all. I haven't really been able to spend time there because of Covid. My mom really likes the food.

Brookdale Fort Collins was really nice. The residents seemed very comfortable there, out and about, and in and around. Everybody seemed generally happy, and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were nice, and most rooms had a little kitchenette. They had a lot of activity rooms, a sunroom where you can go out and sit without being outside, game rooms, and music room, and it's all open. It's encouraging because it's not closed off, and there were no doors in any of the activity rooms. You can just go in and participate if you want to. The dining room was beautiful. The facility was big and spread out over a bigger area and there were many hallways, and it's too big for my mom because she can't get around that well.

Sugar Valley Estates is a wonderful place. I have no doubts about the care and the quality of life that my mom and all the other residents have. They're all very happy and very engaged. She loves it and would never go back to living on her own ever again. They have sing-alongs, trivia, bingo, and a knitting club. There are quite a bit of activities for people and sometimes you see the residents sitting and relaxing in the atrium and conversing with one another. There's always something happening and those who work there are very attentive. Her room is a pretty standard one-bedroom, one-bath, with a living room, balcony, and a small kitchenette, and her view faces the mountains, so it's perfect. It's very sunny, very open, and very airy. The food is excellent, but sometimes it's not very flavorful, which they have to do for the residents.

Brookdale Fort Collins was bright and had a lot of activities going on. The staff seemed to be caring and engaged with the residents. There seem to be ample room. One of the things that my wife would be interested in is they had a garden area and work benches set up. People could use small tools to keep themselves busy. They also had group activities and exercises.

I didn't like Collinwood Assisted Living and Memory Care. It was dark and seemed depressing to me. The food smelled good, though, and they had activities like gardening, exercise, typical things people can do. The pricing is fairly typical and not anything out of the ordinary than the other folks charge. It's very comparable to what I saw. The lady who gave me the tour was nice, had lots of information, and knew the answers to the questions I had.
