I visited Brookdale Farmington two years ago, and they had a nice price range. Not all the rooms were up to par, however. They were older, and the building itself was very old. The setting where it was located was absolutely beautiful. It's a very nice area. The food was OK, but it wasn't great. The staff who accommodated me was terrific. The thing that got me was the age of the place. Everything was just old and needed updating. It was clean, but old. It was homey though. I have to say they did their best to make it look like a home. They had nice sitting areas and those things were very nice.

Village Gate of Farmington was lovely. As a matter of fact, I have picked out a place there and put money down because I really liked it that much. I had to renege on that deal, but I really liked that place, that's why I put my money down. I was going to settle there. The food wasn't great though, that's the only area of that tour that I wasn't very keen on. The facility was clean and inviting, and they tried to make it look homey.

We put my brother in Village Gate of Farmington for a month and he kind of didn't want to stay so he went back home. He's doing much better now. It's an independent living facility but we paid for medication, checks and extra services. He was on quarantine so I didn't see him for the first 2 weeks. The place was very nice and everybody was so friendly. It's clean but my brother didn't like a lot of the food. It was a nice environment and a nice apartment. While he was in quarantine he stayed in one of the extra suites they have. Then they had painted the apartment so everything was nice and clean and fresh. It was a decent 1-bedroom apartment. They had some activities that they were trying to do. They had some exercise classes so they can bring everybody out.

My mother was in Brookdale Farmington. She was very happy there. We liked the staff and they liked her, the place was clean, and we were happy. She had a private one-bedroom apartment, but they also had two bedrooms available. They had fitness, yoga, movies, games, card games, and puzzles, they had entertainment come in like singers, piano players, and during the holidays they had something special. They had buses that went out, they had a lunch bunch, and they would go to the casino, but my mother did not participate in that.

My experience at Village Gate of Farmington was good, and I liked it. I liked the fact that they had larger apartments. The overall sense of the place was very nice. The rooms were very nice, spacious, and had full kitchens which I like. They offered anything from excursions, to games, to clubs, and pretty much everything everyone else offers. They had in-house physical therapists. They had a dining room. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had our questions answered.
