I visited Solstice at Groton. I was treated very well, it's a nice place, but because of the COVID it was limited as to what we could see. I thought it was very nice, the tour was exceptional, I saw everything I needed to see. They just didn't have things available like food, and I know normally they like to sit you down and have a nice lunch, but we couldn't do any of that because of COVID. Under the circumstances, they were making private meals just to be fed up to the residents' rooms. It was a very nice facility. The only reason I feel limited is because I was on a home-based oxygen, which means I rely 99% on a concentrator that needs to be plugged in. I need constant electricity and they don't have the generator. Although, she said she's been there seven years and never lost power, it made me a little uneasy not having power; we would only be able to rely on my portable oxygen model that don't last very long. I use it when I go out too. The staff member who showed me around was wonderful, I can't remember her name, I'm sorry. It was the director of the facility. There's one lady in charge and she was wonderful. She showed me two or three different units. I was satisfied with the tour. The facility is slightly dated, but not terribly.

I toured Solstice Senior Living at Groton last year. It was very thorough; it was good. The staff member was very professional. They covered everything, and they answered all our questions. They had apartments. We looked at different ones. Some had a balcony, some did not, some had just been renovated, and some had not. I think we probably saw four different rooms. They had a big room where the staff member told me they had activities. We saw the eating area, and we had a meal there. They had a salon. The entrance to the building was like a courtyard where they had some benches there.

I was in Solstice Senior Living at Groton. The food was decent, it wasn't exceptional, but it was healthy. The exercise class was fine, it was really some kind of chair-yoga class. Their entrance area was close to spectacular, with great chandeliers, but the place otherwise was rather clean, and streamlined, which was OK. But they admit, they need only people capable of independent living. If you need other services, they have contracts with various groups who are supposed to take care of needs that go beyond those capabilities. I stayed in a two-bedroom apartment with a separate bedroom and bathroom. In the living room was a large TV, and the windows overlooked a courtyard. The location was about a mile away from the business area. I saw the exercise machine room, it was good enough, and there were probably about 12 machines.
