Veranda Club modernized their building and rooms. The room they showed us overlooked the suburban surroundings. It was also ideally located in a central area for shopping, cultural activities, and YMCA. We had the usual hamburger lunch there, and it was OK.

Veranda Club was lovely. It was a very nice facility and it seemed that the people were happy there, but we felt it was very old. The staff was all friendly, talked to us, and were willing to show us whatever they could. It was just a very pleasant feeling. They have 1- and 2-bedroom apartments and they were all nice, but they were small for us. They only offer two meals which is good for us because we don't want to be fed three times a day. We like to make our food ourselves. For people who are ready for that kind of place, it looked like an ideal setup. There was a lot of light inside the facility and a lot of windows, so it wasn't a dark and uncomfortable place to be. There were people sitting outdoors on the terraces talking with each other. We only saw friendly people and the gentleman who took us around was absolutely knowledgeable, nice, and he asked us to come back when they're having a party in the evening to see what life is like there. He's a very professional individual. We saw staff members in the elevators and they talked to us and were nice. It was just a good atmosphere. I didn't see anything missing from that quick visit.

Veranda Club was very small and more like my mother's type of place, but they couldn't take her down to her doctors. The people and the woman who took me on the tour were really nice. I asked a couple of the residents and no one has had any complaints at all. The problem is the distance from her doctors.

Veranda Club was pretty great. I showed up without an appointment, but they gave me a quick tour, and the place was quite nice. The rooms were very small, but that was fine for us because it's only a single person moving in. They were attractive and very well maintained. Everybody was super friendly. They were not exactly high energy, but it was not depressing. I went there during a meal period, and the food looked perfectly fine. It did not look like a dorm food; it was real food.

Veranda Club was not well-kept and the hallways were dirty. While it was a pretty place and had pretty apartments, they were not well-maintained. They had lovely little balconies with a screened-in porch, but the screens were all torn. We had dinner there and the food was good. The staff in the dining room was very good. They have a population of about 90 people, but for me that's not a large enough population to make choices for friendships. They appeared to have a pretty good program.
