My grandmother and mother have lived here. The food is delicious, and there’s friendly camaraderie. I have visited some of the activities and was impressed with the pool, tai chi, and musical groups. The religious service was run by several very good ministers. It’s really nice to give notice when you need transportation to a dr’s office and the polished car is outside the entrance waiting for you as long as it’s within the area. You can be alone picking up your meal downstairs and eating in your beautiful apartment (they upgrade all the interiors) or join a friend down the hall or in a group at dinner. You are independent but are looked after in cases of a ie a hurricane -meals delivered to the door and communication-even buses ready for you to evacuate if necessary. Very nice! It’s across the street from Blake hospital and Bradenton is more cost effective than Sarasota. (Sarasota is available to you through free excursions and theater/plays.) Over all yep, I recommend Freedom Village.

This facility is a step down unit. My brother was here for about 6 months at the beginning of covid. We could not visit and did not know he was getting triple the amount of meds he should have, they almost killed him. He was in the memory care unit. DO NOT put your loved one here, the staff was uninvolved, there were no activities, food was rancid, facility smelled of urine.

Woodlands Village was a little bit on the old side, and it is made out of wood. It felt like the floors were spongy when you walk on them. I thought it was just a fire trap waiting for fire. They showed me the one bedroom and one and a half bedroom. They were clean and I liked how they were laid out. The staff seemed nice and professional. They showed me the dining room and the library too. I liked the individual apartments, but I did not really care for the rest of it.

The staff who accommodated me at Bradenton Westminster Manor during the tour was perfect. I met the director, the manager, they were very good. I also ate there. The room I picked there was a studio but they have larger ones at the time, too. They had church and a pool, and everything was excellent. There was nothing about the place that I didn't liked, but they didn't have any availability aside from a mobile home which is too big.

Moving my mom to Inspired Living at Hidden Lakes has worked out very well. The staff there is very helpful and very auspicious. It's a nice and clean place, they have activities for the residents and with the transition they did really well for my mom. Everything is working out great. The staff members have all been really nice and they introduced themselves to my mom. I haven't tried their food yet, but so far, my mom hasn't complained and she's a complainer. In terms of activities, they've been really good to my dad. They came and analyzed him, we wanted him to be in assisted living but they said he needs to be in memory care so he's there now.

Water's Edge of Bradenton had lovely, independent two-bedroom villas that you rent. It's a gated community with an apartment building. They have a beauty parlor, a nice swimming pool and a workout room. They also have a library. The problem with the place is it's in a bad neighborhood and you wouldn't feel comfortable going outside of the complex. You don't have to buy in which is a good thing.

Woodlands Village is older, comfortable, and feels good to me. The apartments are small, but I'm very happy with it. There's enough to do, and if you want something, they'll do it for you. So far it's a really nice experience. Everybody seems very happy about the activities. They play cards and bingo every now and then. Most of those things are not what I'm used to. I asked the staff member about painting classes, and she said she'll arrange for it one day which is good. I'm happy. There's a security level that I feel good about here, and I like the feeling of the apartment. I don't think the wait staff really likes people that much. If you don't like the menu, they have a chef there who can always make something. They have healthy choices and something for everyone. If I don't feel well, they'll bring the food to me in my room. It's very accommodating. I like the fact that they're very meticulous.

Woodlands Village was very nice and clean. We saw a model room, and it was clean. The staff seemed nice. There were people getting ready to go somewhere. The food was OK.

As we were touring Brookdale Palma Sola, the door of one of the rooms was open and a woman was sitting in there and she said, "I need help." The person giving the tour was very uncaring and said, "Push your button," and kept walking with us. That's when I realized it wasn't going to work. The facility itself was nice, but the attitude of the staff was not for us. They had a calendar of activities. They had a big open area where the activities took place. The facility was clean and the layout was nice.
