We moved into here. It is everything we want in a retirement home. It is very comfortable. They have a swimming pool and an exercise room. Activities are posted every day, but we have not done anything yet. The staff are very caring. Everything is clean and new. For the food, it is nothing great, but it is not bad.

Itwas very nice. I had very little interaction with the staff. They didn't make it quite as easy to move in as the other place. I actually preferred them because it's only five minutes from where we live. They would send a nurse out to do the evaluation on my mother only after we signed to move her in. It may not sound like a big thing, but it was. It was very nicely laid out and designed. It had an open and airy feeling to it. They had a pool and a courtyard. When you walk into the building, it just felt right. It was designed in a way that made perfect sense. I could find my way around there immediately. The facility at Delray was nicer than the other place. If I was just going to judge them on the actual physical facility, I would've gone to them. I only interacted with the salesperson, and she was wonderful.

We like it a lot; it's actually at the top of the list right now. I'm looking for a community that has everything from independent to assisted living. We wanted to have a place that has all these amenities on-site for him, so that when he needs to go to assisted living, it's all there for him. The other places have been eliminated simply because they're only assisted living. What stood out to me about the place is the social life. I don't want my dad to be just in his room, and it had a great social life. It has three meals a day. They have porches, balconies, and outdoor areas, which are important for him as well. The rooms were a little bit small, so we're a little bit worried about that, but it's not too bad. The big thing is that it's in a good location, and they had good reviews, with an average rating of 4.5 out of 39 reviews. We're still in COVID, so right now they're serving people independently or on small, spread-apart tables. I only met a limited amount of staff, but the ones I've met I liked. I met the director and her assistant. They offer great activities, and they have great amenities. They're full service with everyday cleaning.

My son is settled in Grand Villa of Delray East. We had him in a facility in Greenacres for three weeks and they almost killed him, so we had to change and we looked over a bunch of other places. I already have two sons in Grand Villa in different locations, so I decided to try this one in Delray Beach. They were far superior to the one in Greenacres. My son has been there since mid-November. I would give the staff an A+ rating and a gold star. They are very responsive, everything he needs, he gets. The food is good and the atmosphere is great. They keep the place very clean. My son is almost blind. He only maybe has 3% of the normal sight, so he is incapable of participating in any activity. Grand Villa has a large screen TV, a library, a general store if you need to buy something and I think they have a bistro to get coffee or snack. Right now with food, they don't have the ability to bring a lot of things to the room and I think once the pandemic is over, it will probably go back to normal.

We are very happy here. We have gotten everything we've expected and more. The staff is excellent. The facility is beautiful and immaculately clean. We get housekeeping and laundry several times a week, and we get meals in the dining room. My husband's medication is managed by the Wellness Center here. They have everything you could possibly want: entertainment, movies, card games, bingo, and lectures. A lady comes in at 6:00 a.m. to give my husband his prescribed medications. After breakfast we walk 20 steps over to the Wellness Center. They manage incontinence and they change the bed sheets whenever it's necessary. Our apartment has one bedroom, a living room, dining area, kitchenette, bathroom, and a screened-in porch off of the living room.

It was lovely. The staff who helped me there was lovely, very nice, and personable. It was a lovely experience all around. The dining area looked really nice. They looked active and it looked like people were going and doing things. They people looked like they were happy. The layouts of the place and the choices were nice. I was really impressed with it.

It was perfect. The facilities were just what I liked, and the place was beautiful and spotless. The staff spent a lot of time with me, and I was so very impressed that I went back with my sister to show her the place and she was impressed too. Everything you could possibly want, they have. If I ever decided to go to a community, this would be my first choice. I think they're wonderful.

We liked them the best. The way it was situated was attractive. There seemed to be a little more land as well. There is a nice pool area and walkways where you can go outside. Also, along the walkways were huge windows. It was very pleasant. We met some of the staff in there and they were cordial and very nice to us. They have more facilities than the other ones we saw. They have a beauty parlor, a nail place, a gym, a library, and a place where they can gather in the evenings and have lectures and entertainment. We also talked to some of the people who live there and it seemed that they were very happy with it. They also have an Alzheimer's facility.

Statewide, assisted living costs are highest along the southwest Gulf coast in Naples ($5,448) and lowest in Lakeland ($2,808), which is located in central Florida.

In Delray Beach, nursing home care is by far the most expensive senior care option because it includes around-the-clock medical care in a state-licensed facility. Hiring a homemaker service or home health aide for 44 hours a week costs between $3,480 and $3,813 per month in addition to regular living expenses, such as groceries, home repairs and property taxes. At $3,620 per month assisted living costs less and it includes private or semiprivate accommodation, meals and access to common amenities, such as outdoor spaces, lounges and dining areas.
Approximately 16% of Florida’s children, seniors, and adults with disabilities have access to basic health services through Medicaid, the national government health coverage program.
Florida’s Medicaid plans are administered by the Agency for Health Care Administration and include mandatory benefits, such as inpatient and outpatient hospitalization, primary physician services, home health and nursing facility care.

Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly
The Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly is a nursing home diversion program that allows frail seniors to age in place in their community while living at home, with family or in an assisted living facility. Using a collaborative managed care model, PACE provides seniors with client-centered services designed to optimize health, wellness and independence.
Each PACE site has an interdisciplinary team consisting of primary care physicians, therapists, nurses, activation specialists, social workers and home care workers. PACE participants receive all of their Medicaid-funded services through PACE-affiliated providers, and many health care services are based at the local PACE center.
PACE services include primary and specialty care, adult day care, transportation to the PACE center, hospitalization and end of life care. The program also includes prescription medication and medical equipment coverage, in-home assistance with activities of daily living, home-delivered and communal meals, and medication management.
To be eligible for PACE enrollment, seniors aged 55 and older must:
