I loved Sterling Court; the community was great. They showed me several apartments, and the one I liked very much was very bright and had large windows. It was very nice. When I was there they had a party going on so I never got to sample the food, but I enjoyed my tour; it was very nice there. I went there to check out the independent living. They give you three meals a day, and they have all kinds of activities going on. There are standard things like playing cards. The staff member I met there was very nice. They were having a Hawaiian party when I visited and one of the girls came out in a grass skirt who introduced herself as one of the staff members. As I was going into the elevators, one of the entertainers was singing Hawaiian songs, and it was fun. The building itself was very nice, very clean, and it had a beautiful entrance.

I had a very good tour with Sterling Court. They're very courteous, polite, and very nice. The staff is very nice. The rooms were apartment sized, and there was one that was studio sized. They have a meeting room, movie room, and it's very comfortable.

A friend is a resident of Sterling Court. It's a very nice place. The atmosphere was very good and I saw that she was really enjoying herself there. Her apartment was also very nice, it's a 1-bedroom with a living room, bathroom, and big closets. The person who does the cleaning did a good job, and the food was good. She was extremely involved with the activities and was talking about it all the time. She went to Bingo once, and won a candy bar. The staff was very good and really nice, it's just that there's nobody there at night. They also have a heated swimming pool.

We visited Sterling Court. They don't have a memory care unit -- which is something we're looking into in the future -- but it's very pleasant. They have a nice garden and a swimming pool, and the food was really good. They have good activities and a good bus service. It's also the closest facility to my house. I only met the people in the dining room, the bus driver, and the lady who shows you around. It's not as fancy as the others, but it felt very homey, it was really nice, and there was no bad smell or anything like that.

Sterling Court was very expensive and very beautiful. It would be my first choice, but I could not afford it. I was impressed with the actual presentation of the building. It seemed to have a friendly atmosphere. The rooms, people, and food were nice. The only one drawback that I had was that they had only one elevator, and it was a huge place. When you go to breakfast, lunch, and dinner there, the one thing I heard among the residents was it was very difficult to go up and down because there was only one elevator there. Other than that, I did not have any objections. I would still probably have chosen it if I could afford it, but I couldn’t. However, I had an excellent visit. I was very impressed with the personnel and the people I saw with smiles on their faces. They had everything anyone could ever want.

I like Sterling Court very much; in fact, it's my number one choice. The staff was great and well organized. The guy who accommodated me did a great job. The apartments were nice since it’s a new community. Their dining area is very nice, and I enjoyed it.

My mother-in-law has been at Sterling Court for a couple of months. They have cottages but also studios, and one- or two-bedrooms. They have a small kitchen in the regular apartments with a refrigerator and sink, and you’re welcome to bring a microwave or toaster. Some of the apartments have balconies. There is laundry service available on every floor. Included in the monthly fee, they have housekeeping services which will change sheets and towels every week. Before you move in, it’s all recarpeted, painted, and refreshed. There are activities and a bus service. We’ve also looked at a very similar place that’s run by the same company, and this facility was almost half the price. The residents seem to really love the food; they say the only thing wrong with it is there is too much of it. They have a large selection, and it’s good. They have a special meal sometimes, like one at Easter where they invited families to come and join. There are three meals a day. Sometimes, they’ll have a chocolate party or a nice themed party at set times. It’s a big, open dining room with table service.

Sterling Court is kept very well. The rooms are decent and small but adequate. The food is terrible, and there aren't many activities that I would like to participate in. It's not what I thought it would be. There has been a change in management and the residents. When I first started out here, it was a much more friendly place than it is now. It has become uncomfortable. It's not what I'm used to. I'm looking for more intellect, more diversity, and better food. All you get is fried food and pork, which I don't eat.
