My mom has moved into Brookdale Orange Park. We love it. They treat her like family. It is a perfect spot for her and she is happy there. It has just been a great experience. The staff is fantastic, everybody is just great, and even when we went in for an interview and to check out the place, they spent time with us. My mom loves the food; that's her highlight. It is like being in a five-star hotel. They have exercises for them to do, or activities for special times of the year, like they have an Easter egg hunt. They really keep them active there, which is what my mom needs. My mom has a roommate. She loves my mom, and my mom loves her. My mom is blind and the lady reads to her. It has worked out well for both of them. It has just been a miracle that they have helped each other out. They keep their minds going. My mom has dementia and Alzheimer's, and she has other physical problems. They have an exercise area where she can exercise. The value for the money is very good.

My mother-in-law is in Brookdale Orange Park and it's not the nicest place. The food is not good, but she's used to it now. There aren't many amenities nor activities there. They only have 1 washer and 1 dryer for the whole facility. It's not an accommodating place.
