My elderly mother lived here and had to be moved out, due to lack of care. The staff is very rude and they do not fulfill their duties as health care providers and care takers. The \"nurses\" are never to be seen.If you ask for anything or try to follow up you get no response or attitude. Extremely sad. I had to watch my mother decline drastically during her time there. My mother had difficulty taking care of herself and she had to beg the nurses to get a shower and she still would be ignored !!!! I wound not recommend this place to anyone!!

Ormond in the Pines was a nice community and the people were really friendly. I saw a room, and it was spacious, and very comfortable looking. It was also handicapped accessible, which is good for me. It had a small kitchenette. I saw the dining room, people were playing bingo, cards, and things like that. It was a great place, and if they would take me I would take them. I also saw a couple of the specialized rooms for parties and things like that. I talked to their coordinator who does all the exercise stuff and activities for the seniors. She told me there was a lot to do there and I was impressed. I didn't sample anything to eat, but I looked at the menu and it looks good. They offer three meals a day. They also have kitchenettes in the rooms, so a guy like me could even eat five times a day if I wanted.

Seaside Manor was very much willing to work with us. The people were friendly. The rooms were spacious. It was an older place. My husband, who is an electrician, noticed that the electrical panels were quite old. That was the only negative that we saw, other than that, everything else seemed very nice. They have Aloha Night and church services, a library, a van, and activities that they would sign up for to go to. They also had a good chef.

Gold Choice was new and clean. The people were very friendly. They were very willing to help us with the financials. They had the van that you could sign up to go places, but they did not have the swimming pool. They had a memory care unit. The rooms were more like small efficiency bedrooms that didn't have any kitchens in them. Residents could bring their own mini fridge and microwave, but that was the extent. It was basically a bed, a nightstand, and a place to put your TV with a bathroom.

Gold Choice Senior Communities was too expensive so we just couldn't deal with it. It was really nice. The amenities were very nice. There's a courtyard, and they have a lot of things going on there. The staff who showed me around was really nice.

My mother moved to independent living in Ormond in the Pines. What I like best is that she has her own room and her own furniture. It is very clean and beautiful. She has a 1-bedroom with a large living room, full kitchen, and a bathroom with bars and a seat in the shower part. It's very nice, spacious, and has a lot of closets. For the most part, the staff is nice. In certain areas they say they're going to do something, but they forget. They have a lot of activities and my mom has gone to bingo. Today, she was on a mystery bus tour and she didn't know where she was going. The food is very good. My mom doesn't have any complaints.

Grand Villa of Ormond Beach was beautiful and very nice. My mom wouldn't have been able to afford the single room and she would have had to share, so she wouldn't have been able to have her furniture. She would only have a dresser. The one room we saw was just one big room with two beds for two separate people. They had one dresser and they each had a TV. I don't know how they'd do that since they're both going to be watching something different. The staff was very nice and accommodating. They try to be helpful. They had a card room with people playing cards. The place was very clean and the grounds were very pretty with outdoor sitting areas.

Gold Choice and its rooms were too small for us. We didn't like it, but the staff was nice. They had little rooms for activities, like a reading room and a game room.

The staff at Ormond in the Pines is excellent. My mother-in-law's room is very clean but does not have a handicap toilet. The food is great. They have cards, videos, and music, which she likes. Their work attitude is great. They're all very friendly. There are outdoor areas, but they aren't very pleasant. They mostly sit out in front of the building. A lot of people smoke, and they had to smoke outside by the driveway, which I didn't think was very nice. I didn't see any outdoor gardens or anything more pleasant. The dining area is very nice.
