This facility for Seniors is THE BEST I've seen...The ENTIRE Staff...Is AMAZINGLY ALWAYS COURTEOUS....From QB(manager) Ritchel, The Nurse Administrator...ALL servers in the Dining room.... especially DJ...The Activity Coordinators RONA, Camilla, Katie..Front desk Staff...Soooo helpful...This is TRULY A Facility that carries the Name ELEGANCE for all the RIGHT reasons... I'm a very good friend of a resident that I frequently visit and have meals with...So my observations...lead me to take the time to give a THUMBS UP...to ELEGANCE OF LAKE WORTH.

I have a friend that lives at Argo and she love it. The food is great and they care a lot. I never saw a place like this. It is like a family. It is clean and it was the first place that I met the owners. My friend came from a big assisting living to Argo. She feels more cared and loved. Everyone knows her by name and she knows all the people that take care of her by name. I highly recommend Argo.

We moved into here. It is everything we want in a retirement home. It is very comfortable. They have a swimming pool and an exercise room. Activities are posted every day, but we have not done anything yet. The staff are very caring. Everything is clean and new. For the food, it is nothing great, but it is not bad.

My mother is in Brookdale West Boynton Beach. It's been a very positive experience. They're very good and very helpful. I had no idea how difficult it was getting my mother into assisted care, and Brookdale made it as easy as possible. They worked with me, answered all my questions, and did anything I asked. I was there when they were giving my mother the menu options, and I couldn't believe it -- it was like a restaurant. There were so many options. Her room is nice and clean, but it's assisted living and not a five-star hotel. They have a library and activity rooms. In order to get my mother into the facility, a nurse had to come out and do a thorough evaluation of her to see if she was a candidate for assisted living. They sent someone out the next day, even without a commitment from us to do the nursing evaluation, and that made it much easier to get her in there. She's entitled to get a veterans pension to help her pay her fees there, and I had to give them multiple forms. They filled them all out and gave them back to me the next day, and it was very helpful. I feel very comfortable with my mother being there. I'm very comfortable that she's getting the correct amount of attention and good care over there. The food looked good when I saw it. For lunch, they'd have three or four options. The resident gets a chance to choose which one she wants, and I was very impressed with that. The sales representative was fabulous.

Itwas very nice. I had very little interaction with the staff. They didn't make it quite as easy to move in as the other place. I actually preferred them because it's only five minutes from where we live. They would send a nurse out to do the evaluation on my mother only after we signed to move her in. It may not sound like a big thing, but it was. It was very nicely laid out and designed. It had an open and airy feeling to it. They had a pool and a courtyard. When you walk into the building, it just felt right. It was designed in a way that made perfect sense. I could find my way around there immediately. The facility at Delray was nicer than the other place. If I was just going to judge them on the actual physical facility, I would've gone to them. I only interacted with the salesperson, and she was wonderful.

We like it a lot; it's actually at the top of the list right now. I'm looking for a community that has everything from independent to assisted living. We wanted to have a place that has all these amenities on-site for him, so that when he needs to go to assisted living, it's all there for him. The other places have been eliminated simply because they're only assisted living. What stood out to me about the place is the social life. I don't want my dad to be just in his room, and it had a great social life. It has three meals a day. They have porches, balconies, and outdoor areas, which are important for him as well. The rooms were a little bit small, so we're a little bit worried about that, but it's not too bad. The big thing is that it's in a good location, and they had good reviews, with an average rating of 4.5 out of 39 reviews. We're still in COVID, so right now they're serving people independently or on small, spread-apart tables. I only met a limited amount of staff, but the ones I've met I liked. I met the director and her assistant. They offer great activities, and they have great amenities. They're full service with everyday cleaning.

Carlisle Palm Beach was really nice, it's in a great location, and it has assisted and independent living. The bathrooms are nice. You don't have to go through the person's bedroom to go to the bathroom when you're visiting because it had a separate access for guests, which was very nice. It gives the person staying there more privacy. I've heard great reviews about the food. The only negative thing about the Carlisle is that it's very expensive. The location is a pretty big thing for people. They can go out and about because it's just across the street from the beach and surrounded by the reserve. So they can walk there, which is especially good for people who can't drive anymore. They also have a happy hour where they allow everyone to come out and socialize every day around 4:00 pm. It's obviously limited with COVID but with the vaccines, they're slowly getting back to it.

Care Cost Comparison
At $7,756 per month, nursing home care is the most expensive senior care option in Palm Beach County because it includes 24/7 skilled nursing in a state-licensed facility. Assisted living costs less than half of what a nursing home does since this type of care is geared towards seniors who are able to manage most of their own medical needs. In-home care options include homemaker services ($3,480) and a home health aide ($3,813). To determine the true monthly cost of in-home senior care service, day-to-day living costs should be factored in, such as mortgage or rent payments, HOA fees, groceries and transportation, all which are included in assisted living.

Elderlife Financial Bridge Loan
Seniors who need to borrow money to pay for assisted living may qualify for a bridge loan from Elderlife Financial. This loan is designed to cover care costs for seniors who are: - Selling their home to move into an assisted living facility
- Waiting for VA enhanced pension approval
- Liquidating investments to pay for long-term care
- Looking for an alternative to a reverse mortgage
- Because this is an unsecured loan set up as a line of credit, borrowers need to have a high credit score. Up to six people can be listed on the loan application to help improve the overall creditworthiness of the application and share in the care costs.
Interest is calculated on a prime-plus basis and is charged only on the amount borrowed. Money from the loan can be sent directly to the assisted living community, and the loan can be paid off at any time without penalty.
For more information call Elderlife Financial at (888) 228-4500.
