My mother moved here. After I viewed the facility, I found everything in order, and their administration was very accommodating with my needs. I've had no issues with them, everything was explained, and they went out to my mom's home, instead of her going to them. My mom has no complaints with the food, and they just restarted revamping of their program of activities.

The rooms were nice. The staff was okay. They had a library right off the lobby, and they had an open area. The location seemed a little off the beaten path.

My husband was in Jonesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The rooms were good, but the staff was bad and didnt care about the residents. They were more interested in the paycheck. The food was good. They had bingo, movie nights, and arts and crafts.

The facility and its people were very nice. They were very informative, caring, and showed a lot of interest. Mark kept up with me as far as visiting because I had to cancel a lot of times. I'm very impressed. It's first class all the way.

I really liked it and the way it was set up. The director and the lady who runs the Alzheimer's part were really good. The rooms weren't really large, but they were about the right size because in memory care you don't really need large rooms since it confuses people. The staff was very knowledgeable and the director who runs the place seemed very interested too.

If I had to put Mom some place, it would be here. You walk into it and everybody treats you like you're part of the family. They're very friendly and thoughtful, and the person I sat down with was very cordial and openminded. We had good conversations about what my mom needed and what they had to offer. They gave me a lot of information. It was very clean. They had different areas for activities. The room was excellent. I liked the bathroom in particular as far as safety for her because she's 87. They had all the safety features like she could sit down or walk straight in there without having to step over a tub. It had the railings in there for her to pull up. They showed me more than one size room. Even the smallest room had plenty of room. The facility was very homey and the correct size; it wasn't too large and overwhelming for her, and it was very clean. They also had a section for memory care/Alzheimer's.

Palms of Lake Spivey is clean, and you get that grand feeling when you walk in. The people are friendly at the reception desk, which is good. They came right out to greet us. They showed us the rooms where certain activities go on. They have a formal dining room and then they have another room where they go for breakfast; I thought that was good. If you don't want to go down to get your food, they can bring it to your room, and I like that. Their food looked good and I like the fact that they have different choices. They even have facilities where your family could visit. There is a room for them to come and be in a particular area with you. You can even have a party there. They have a movie theater and a pool, which is excellent. They have several places outside where you can have your family over. If you want to get together with some friends, you can barbecue outside near the pool, and I thought that was cool. The Palms was my favorite facility thay I saw.

I liked The Palms at Lake Spivey very much. The rooms were upscale, but they were clean and nice and the other amenities were nice. It seemed more homey than the other places that we went to. In addition to that, it seemed to be a more diverse community and that was important to me. The food was very good. They had a lot of things for the residents. I was particularly interested in the aerobics. Their pool is outside, but it's heated. It is an aging place.

I really liked Palms of Lake Spivey. The rooms were like apartments with a living room, sitting room, kitchenette, bath, and bedroom. They had a really nice recreational area, library, and restaurant. It looked like you're going to a big apartment complex, not a retirement community.
