We have just moved my mom into Brookdale Columbus. She's been there for two weeks now, and she seems to be doing well. I notice that anytime I ask her what it is they're having (whenever I'm around, and they say it's her time to eat) she usually has some kind of fruit, so that's a good thing. Her room is a good-sized room, and she has her own bathroom with a walk-in shower that has a chair in it. She also has two closets, two big windows, plenty of room for her dresser, and a full-sized bed with two recliners. The staff seems really nice. They would talk to you, and they seem knowledgeable in how they deal with Alzheimer's patients. They also have caretakers who are not really nurses but they're there to help move patients around. Everybody seems to be pleasant to be around. They all follow the protocols and what has been set down by the CDC on COVID. They don't let anybody slide by, which is good. They have all kinds of activities. Mom has been involved in painting, and she's done some scarf dancing, too, which she told me all about. She seems to enjoy all of it.

It was my favorite. It's a great facility. I would highly recommend it for anybody. The staff was great. As soon as we got there, they gave us 100% of their attention and we were there for three hours. They acted like we were part of their facility. They showed us the complete facility, which was large and nice. They showed us the different apartments and shared rooms. They fed us a great meal and we met other residents. It was a very clean facility, but what really impressed me was the residents. They were so happy, walking around and talking, just mingling, and they were clean. The place smelled good and the grounds outside were really nice. They had wonderful areas for the residents to go and sit.

It was wonderful. We really liked it. The person during the tour was very nice, very professional, answered all of our questions, and was very helpful. There was a group in one room playing some games. They have a library.

It was fantastic. It was perfect. I could see a lot of happy people. It looked like a hotel. It was very nicely done and they were really pleasant people. The management staff that we met was great. It looked like a hotel dining room. We did not have time to eat lunch there, but the food that they served looked beautiful. We felt like everything was very clean and the people were enjoying themselves. We saw some shopping. They had vendors come to set up a flea market. It was definitely topnotch.

I was treated very well here. I had lunch, I was really impressed with it, and I'm mostly waiting to sell my house so I can hopefully come in. They seem to have movies, bingo, dominoes, and several fellowships around the place. They have housekeeping once a week, which seemed OK. They offer three meals a day, which is what I'm mainly looking for, and they have mostly what I want. I liked the location. The rooms were nice and sufficient. The person that showed me around explained it nicely and answered all my questions.
