Christian City Assisted Living looked very nice. We saw a 1-bedroom apartment. It had its own bathroom inside and there's no kitchen. It's like how an efficiency apartment works. It's just enough for one person. I even saw couples staying there. The person who gave me the tour was very nice and she gave me all the information that I needed. Their dining area didn't looked run-down nor did it smell. They also said they had a whole lot of activities, I also saw their calendar for the month on the bulletin board, and they had a lot of activities going on. The facilities and appearance of the place looked decent.

My mother-in-law stayed in the memory care at Christian City Assisted Living. Everything was set up very nicely and we got exactly what we needed them to do. The other residents seemed cheerful and positive. My mother-in-law herself had a wonderful time there. The staff was professional and caring. The dining area was clean, the food was tasty enough, and there were good choices.

Christian City Assisted Living Center had nice rooms and nice baths. It was just very pricey. The staff was nice and friendly. They had a beauty shop, game room, physical therapy room, gym, area where the residents can rent out and have celebration with their family, a chapel, a restaurant, movie nights, and game nights.

The main lobby of Christian City was very nice, well-laid out, and comfortable. I spoke to some of the residents who seemed happy. I made an appointment to get pricing information but no one told me that there won't be an administration personnel working on Saturday to give me that information. As a matter of fact, I had to wait 30 minutes for anyone to come down and give me the tour. The young lady was definitely not an administrator, but she was very helpful and gave me as much information as she could. The first room I was shown has been vacated and cleaned, but the odor was horrible. They could not get that odor out of the room, so that was a turn off immediately. The second apartment was nice and different and didnt have an unclean smell, but I didnt like the feel of the place. Nothing was going on at that time. It was casual and residents were watching TV.

We visited Christian City Assisted Living. We looked on the third and second floors. The third floor room was very generous and was the only one that provided a table and TV. The staff thought he might belong on the third floor because he wasn't wandering. The second floor was for those who might wander. We had a tour and walked through while they were eating. The memory care side had a separate dining area. The main dining room was downstairs, and it was very good. I only saw one room, and it was very adequate. I know the director pretty well from previous times. The third floor was fine. The second floor smelled slightly like urine, and I didn't like that. Everybody was very cooperative.
