My mom has been in this facility (formerly First and Main) for the last 4 years. This past winter it was bought out by The Avalon of Lewis Center. My family and I have noticed a positive change in the staffing. Everybody seems more caring and the facility is very clean. When my mom pushes the call button, a staff member is there in less than 5 minutes to see what she needs! The aids and nurses actually work together to check on the residents, which is something I’ve never seen before. They have a lot of daily activities 7 days a week and also have outings to the grocery store, ball games and lunch outings. I’ve eaten there several times and the food is really good. They have daily specials or you can order off the menu. Thanks to the entire staff for the excellent care you provide for my mom. If your looking for a facility for a loved one, please check out The Avalon of Lewis Center. I believe you will be impressed.

My brother-in-law lives here. The appearance of the facility is nice, but it's very antiseptic, and it's very upscale, but institutional. There's not a whole lot of family feeling. It's in a nice area, but you can't get anywhere, because there are no sidewalks. It's not a right place to go for someone who grew up in the country. It is convenient to a lot of shopping and restaurants. His apartment is very nice, fairly upscale, and it would be nice if they could offer units that do not have kitchens because a large part of the living area is taken up by a full kitchen that he almost never utilizes.

Our experience having my sister at Sunrise of Granite Run has been fine so far; we haven't had problems. They have activities for the residents. The staff members and the food have also been fine. They have been very attentive and nice to us, and the environment is very pleasant. She has really been satisfied with the care that the staff has given, as well as the environment. The food is also fine. Even though she can't eat a lot, she hasn't had any complaints about the food. She was moved to an adequate single room from a double room. The room is pleasant and the bathroom is fine. They provide three meals a day, they have a beauty parlor, and she gets physical therapy once a week. They also have religious activities aside from a lot of other activities.

Beaumont at Bryn Mawr is an outstanding and level community. I had nothing but good experience and we did put a deposit down. In this particular place, you own your apartment, that's about a 1,600 square foot apartment. The food and the dining area are also outstanding. We've observed a lot of interesting activities at the time that we were visiting. One of them was a caroling that was going on, another was a bus trip that was going to central city of Philadelphia. They also had artwork display by the residents of the units. There were a lot of things happening. They provided us a meal and it was a 5-star meal. We were very satisfied with the visit, and with the quality of the grounds and the community.

Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line had very friendly staff. They welcomed my parents and the rest of my family. It also fits my parents' budget. They have a swimming pool, entertainment, and transportation.

We toured the Residence at Glen Riddle. We were ready to placed my mother-in-law there, but it didnt work out. The manager was wonderful, the whole facility was great, and I appreciated everything. We dropped in without making an appointment, but they accommodated us, and we saw the whole facility. It was a really good place. The dining area looked excellent. It looked as good as the first dining rooms that we saw. We talked to several residents and they loved it there.

The care that my relative gets at Broomall Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is OK, but their rules and administration lacks a little bit. The meals look very good and well-balanced. Her room is average, but it could be a little cleaner. They have a common area where they have different activities, they have a matinee movie, and they play different games like Bingo, Name That Tune, Poker, and card games. There's lack of communication between the administration and us.

I really The Residence at Glen Riddle, and I would recommend it to anyone needing assisted living. I liked the hominess, the atmosphere, and the residents, who were out and about. Everybody was doing something. The dining room was nice, and I liked the whole thing.

My mom was in rehab at The Bryn Mawr Terrace. The rehab department staff is perfect. Other than that, it's a terrible place to be in. The beds weren't adequate enough for comfort and they charge you for a mattress. The staff is terrible and it seems like you're bothering them even when it's their job. I wouldn't recommend anybody go there. It's great just for physical therapy because those staff members are phenomenal. The food is terrible and high in salt.
