If you are looking for a clean and safe place for your loved ones to recover, I highly recommend Majestic Care. My dad had a severe heart attack and was in the hospital for 7 weeks. We had to choose a rehab facility for him to go to before coming home. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was. It is being remodeled so everything is crisp and new. The second thing was the staff. They were so friendly. From Jan who greeted us at the front door daily to the nursing staff to the physical and occupational therapists. I know that people can have terrible experiences at places like this but I have nothing but praise for how well they took care of my dad and how kind and accommodating they were to the residents. Thanks to everyone at Majestic Care for the hard work you do! My dad is home now and doing great.

Brookdale Carmel was a really nice facility. We liked the fact that the memory care residents were in a small community with many communities circled around a communal-living area and kitchenette. It seemed to be clean, and people seemed to have the ability to roam around at will. They were not confined to their own unit. They just could not go outside obviously. It was a friendly place and I liked the set up of the different communities. The only drawback was it doesn't take Medicaid; it only takes private pay. It does seem like a really nice place though.

Sunrise on Old Meridian was really nice. The rooms were clean, the dining area was very nice, and the staff was very good. The room they showed overlooked Meridian, it didn't have a great view, and that was a concern. The facility was very clean and well maintained. The parking area was ample.

I recently moved my parents into the Bickford of Carmel from another facility in Indianapolis. The treatment they were receiving at the other facility was very poor. I came in quite skeptical, and because of our previous experience, I had to learn to trust again. The staff at Bickford of Carmel made it very easy for me to gain their trust. They took such loving care of my parents from day one. I received a text video of my dad playing the piano shortly after their arrival. He played for 70 years, and one day six months ago he just quit, because he was so unhappy in the last facility he was living in. When he arrived in the loving hands of Bickford\'s Mary B. Memory Care, the music just poured out of him again, and it continues to bring smiles to all of us! I can\'t make enough positive comments about the Bickford of Carmel. They brought the music back to my dad, and they make sure my mom is well cared for and happy too! They have figured out how to care for elderly folks, who can be quite demanding, and they also take care of their residents\' families. I\'m always amazed at how attentive they are to my needs. I tell them not to worry about me, but they worry anyway. They take the time to get to know the entire family. Not in a gossipy way, but they do it in a way to better care for their patients. I go to bed at night knowing I made the right decision, when I selected the Bickford of Carmel for my parents. Believe me....I spent weeks searching for the right place. I did not make this decision lightly. I visit daily, and I made the sacrifice to go the extra 25 minutes. I could have chosen two brand new facilities within five minutes of my house. However, the Bickford of Carmel still won me over, because they have a strong sense of \"home\". That has to be the most powerful attribute any facility can have. Bickford\'s staff care like the people under the roof are their own family. You can feel it when you walk through the door.

My parents moved into Bickford of Carmel. My mom's in assisted and my dad is in their memory care. It's very homey, small, one floor, and we've been very pleased. The staff has been very attentive in taking care of all my parents' needs. They've been in touch with me and have helped me Facetime with my parents, and everything has been fine. My dad has a studio and my mom has an apartment. They have the typical amenities that all places have like the meals and laundry. The food is really good, and they have games, cooking, and outings. I'd like to see more activities, though.

Sub par care. Do not go here! We have reported this facility to CMS & State agency. Severely understaffed. This is not fault of nurse or cna there as they were set up to fail. We were 2nd family to leave yesterday in emergency situation. 93 year old mother came here for short term rehab stay after uti. Came in on walker, a little unsteady, moderate pain that was being adequately treated from hospital & she would have been able to participate in therapy. Moved her yesterday to another facility in an emergency situation but went to ER due to her immense pain (not adequately treated) before we could get to new facility. Left bridgewater with her totally unsteady (but allowed to continue using walker), curling up in pain, unable to do therapy & now set back further to participate in therapy due to lack of attention & care experienced in just 2 days there. ER drained nearly 2 liters of urine from her bladder. ER trip could have been avoided if scanned her bladder as prescribed (admitted to facility Friday left Sunday) and cath her as needed. Sat in depends for hours that were wet & dirty. Hours! She did not get pain meds hours past when needed. No one came at times when pushed call light. My mother is sharp & lucid, normally able to advocate for herself when family not on site but says it did not matter. She was not treated. Her complaints not counted.

First day, first nurse, horrid experience. Nurse was baligerent and the social worker was uncaring and cold. If it was easier I’d move my mother to another facility.

Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation is very nice, and it's either fairly new or newly renovated. My dad hasn't been there all that long, but from what I've seen, everybody seems very professional. There's a lot of good teamwork and good communication amongst the different disciplines that are working together. It's extremely expensive though. They've got neighborhood dining areas, so they're a little bit smaller. I like that as opposed to having a cafeteria since it's a little bit homey because it's not that big.
