I have lived at Asbury almost four years. The campus is beautiful. I moved from a four bedroom house into one a one bedroom & den and have been surprised how comfortable it is. I wanted a CCRC that was relatively large, to have many different activities; a diverse population; apartment with balconies or patios, nearby airports and green space. This is a great fit. The staff is unfailingly polite and helpful. The food is good and offered in multiple venues including a bistro, which serves both food and alcohol. There is a small grocery store, a heated pool, multiple gyms, etc. it’s a great place to live. I am writing this 4/1/20 during the COVID -19 pandemic. Things are, of course, different. I feel infinitely safer here than I would anywhere else. Asbury began implementing health/safety procedures before it was the norm. We are still ok. No one knows the future but Asbury is going the extra mile to make us comfortable while ensuring everyone’s health and safety.

Kentlands Manor was a beautiful place. The staff was wonderful, very helpful, personal, and family-like. They introduced me to members of the community and I felt very welcome. They actually invited me to a community event. They had refreshments and good food, and there were stands for health-related products and music. I was very impressed with the way they took care of the community in offering activities onsite and off-site. The neighborhood is very beautiful with plenty of shopping, restaurants, and stores. The atmosphere is very elegant and I can't say enough. They also have a beautiful library with an assortment of all kinds of books, they have a very elegant theater room to show movies, and I saw different pianos on three different floors for anyone to practice on. The exercise room was very nice, large, and clean. All the apartments were very gorgeous and had beautiful views. It was a great experience.

Asbury Methodist Village was a very nice place, but it was very expensive. I was hoping Mom could move to a place like that. The people were very nice, especially the care. They have everything from entertainment to groups that you can join for activities like movie clubs and a craft club. They have a mixture of apartments and condos. The dining room was very nice, clean, and upscale.

Kentlands Manor's rooms were large, roomy, and pretty nice. The rooms were bare and you bring your own furniture in. The staff is friendly. The parking area was in front of the building and it was moderate. The facility is attractive and clean. They had a piano in the lobby.

I toured Kentlands Manor, but it was too expensive for me. The community was great and you can walk to all the stores you need to go to. Everything within walking-distance, I loved it. I liked the feel of the place and the layout of the apartment. The person that assisted me was rather busy. I didn't really like where I was located, it was at the end of the corner and seems isolated from all the other buildings. But otherwise, it's a nice building. I would suggest they offer more activities and there should be someone available when somebody needs help.
