- Be able to receive a nursing home level of care in an assisted living setting for equal or lower costs than in a nursing facility
- Have a maximum of $2,000 in assets (excluding a personal vehicle, home and belongings)
- Be able to pay any income received over $2,313 per month toward assisted living services

Elderlife Bridge Loans
Elderlife Financial provides short-term bridge loans to seniors across the country looking for help paying for assisted living as they wait for longer-term funding options to begin. Suitable for individuals with plans to sell a home or who expect certain benefits in the future but who wish to move into an assisted living home now, the loans last for up to 12 months and have a quick application process.
When considering seniors for a loan, Elderlife examines financial information such as income, assets and credit scores. Because the company accepts multiple co-applicants on a loan, those with low credit scores may qualify based on the combined credit scores of their family members.

Senior Assisted Living Group Home Subsidy
The Senior Assisted Living Group Home subsidy gives eligible seniors up to $650 monthly to help pay for room and board in a qualifying assisted living home.

- Be approved for residence in a SALGHS assisted living facility
- Have assets and income totaling a maximum of $11,000 for an individual and $14,000 for a married couple
- Be aged 62 or older
- Need help with regular activities of daily living such as eating, dressing and bathing
