We visited and were very impressed with the Independence Village of Grand Ledge. In fact, we thought we were going to go there. We are sort of familiar with the area itself because we have family who are down that way, and they said it's really nice there. The people were very nice there. COVID was really rampant at the time we visited so we couldn't really tour the whole building, but we were able to see some pictures. They have nice wide hallways. We're going from 3400 square feet down to fewer than a thousand square feet over there. We didn't try the food, but the people we talked to and who gave us the tour raved about it because they have a highly rated chef there. The place looked like it was brand new; I think it was built around 2000. It was very clean and well kept. They kept things up so we were impressed with everything that we saw. It's limited only because of the size of the apartment, but otherwise it's very nice. They are pet friendly, too, and they have activities scheduled all the time. They have a bus that takes you wherever you need to go within a certain limit.

Independence Village (Independence Village of Grand Ledge) is a smaller community. They have staff that is involved with the residents. It is very clean, and the apartments are spacious. They have everything that we need. My mother seems to like the food. It is decorated beautifully. It has small and large meeting areas. It also has a small gym area and an activity place. They have buses that would go on tours.
