My father is currently living at Brookdale Meridian. I just liked the facility itself and the location and the staff was very helpful. It was large enough that he had options, but not large enough that he would get lost. His room has a bathroom, you furnish some of the furniture, so they come with a bed, dresser, nightstand, a table, and a chair. The closet has shelving, and is well-organized, the walk-in shower has enough grab bars for anybody, and with an available pull-down chair as well. They provided 3 meals, but at the end of every hallway, there's a snack station, and you can have a bowl of fruit, muffins, cookies, and there are drinks like coffee, tea or water with lemon. Downstairs in the main level, they have a coffee station, which is another larger snack station. The staff is very helpful, they're always available to ask questions, and going out of their way to help with things even if it's not necessarily a part of their job.

Brookdale Meridian seemed clean, and the staff seemed friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. They show movies there. It was all good.

My wife and I were at Brookdale Meridian, and we had one room that had a microwave and a refrigerator. It fit my wife while we were there, but they priced us out. They wanted $10,000 a month. We were there for about a year and a half. The staff was good. They were all caring people. But I didn't like it overall. It's a large company with facilities in 47 states, so they have general rules that don't fit. Our room was L-shaped so we split it; one part of it was bedroom, one-half of it was sitting room. They really were not set up for a companion. It's set up for singles. They had an activity that my wife enjoyed. Their food was better than where we were before. My wife went to the "sit and be fit" class and she also went to bingo and Bible study. They had quite a few things that my wife was interested in and movies. It was clean.

My mom is at Brookdale Meridian. The room is nice but nothing fancy. The staff is fine. They have musicians come in once in a while for a get-together. My mom is not happy with the food, though. The atmosphere is fine. It is not a good place to stay, in my opinion.

Brookdale Meridian was very nice. The big problem there was the memory care facility. Not only was it in a different building, but it wasn’t right next door. They would’ve been half a mile apart. It would’ve been very difficult for my parents to be together, so that didn’t work out. The facilities were very nice. They had a two-story facility for their general senior care. We liked their rooms very much. They had the nicest room on the second floor as a single room arrangement, but it was large, very airy, bright, and had lots of windows, so it felt more comfortable for that reason. The staff there spent the most time with us asking questions about the needs my parents would have. They were the only ones that followed up with a phone call the next day to find out if there was any further information needed. Nobody else did that. I was very impressed with their memory care facility. They seem to have a really cutting edge approach to how they manage and had been very thoughtful about the design of the layout. They were kind of slick and neat.
