Our mother was a resident at Independent Village of Plymouth for 5 years. While there, she enjoyed a warm and welcoming christian atmosphere, comfortable facilities, exercise class and a wide variety of social activities throughout the year. Mom was also blessed to have friendly, supportive \"neighbors\" surrounding her. She was able to transition from \"independent\" to \"assisted\" living all while remaining in the same familiar room. Administration and staff went above and beyond in making all residents comfortable, giving them attention, dignity and friendship all while caring about the details of their daily lives! We are grateful our mom was able to receive the care and personal attention she needed during her stay at IVP.

The facilities at Independence Village of Plymouth were very nice. I remember the hotel being there prior, and they have maintained the place beautifully. The amenities are wonderful, and they were having a happy hour when I visited, which was nice. Being independent, it seemed like everyone was in a community, which was fine. However, I found it disconcerting to find so many clients in wheelchairs and walkers mingling with the other residents. It seemed like I saw more of those residents rather than the independent residents. The great thing about this community is that they have a separate building that are apartments. It was very well-presented and very nice. We also saw the smaller apartments in the main building. I would rate the nice young lady who gave us the tour a five.

I toured Independence Village and loved this place. There were three floors, and each room had a balcony. It's quite nice. The people seemed to have a good time, and they were going to a movie when I got there and popping popcorn in the lobby. The staff member was very nice and very informative in regard to any questions that I had. She had a lot to tell me about the people who live there.

I visited Independence Village of Plymouth. The rooms were adequate, but they're more expensive than I could afford. They showed me an exercise room, a lounge area, and a play area. The dining area was a formal setup. It was spacious and clean, and they had probably the best food of all the places around. They've been very cordial and they've been following up with me. The woman was willing to make some monetary modifications. She was very cooperative.

We liked Independence Village of Plymouth. It was very clean and very well laid-out. The person who accommodated us was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The dining area looked very good. There were things for the residents to do. There were puzzles lying out to be put together, and it looked like they played cards, too.

I saw Independence Village, and my overall impression was very good. It's comfortable to get around, well put together, and had nice amenities. In the lobby, they had a glass case with birds flying around, and it blew me away. It overlooked a forest area. The meals were always available, and you could eat by yourself, have it brought, or eat with a group. The staff I met was very friendly, very open, very willing to discuss things, and I never had the feeling of being pressured. They had different sized apartments, most with kitchens and washing machines inside. They had a place for visitors, a very nice common room, and a whole bunch of people playing bridge. They had music groups, and I am a musician.

I wasn't that thrilled with Independence Village of Plymouth. My mom wasn't thrilled with it either. I think it was too large of a place for her; it seemed overwhelming. The amenities were nice, and the rooms I saw were nice enough, but it was quite a bit more expensive. It was at least $500 more per month. The tour person was very nice, but I didn't have any interaction with anybody else.
