St Therese of Oxbow Lake was very beautiful. The woman there was super wonderful. My mother is Catholic and she would love that because they also have mass there every day, which would be important to her. However, it was expensive. The staff members were beautiful. Everything was positive. The place was magnificent. The rooms, square-footage wise, were on the smaller side, and it felt like it was one continuous room rather than separate rooms. For example, there was nothing separating the rest of the room from the kitchen. However, the dining room looked like an upscale restaurant. It was just gorgeous, with the fireplace and linens on all the tables. It was beautiful.

So far a big NO… only the first night and i’m worried about my dad. I do not feel comfortable. He was transferred to this facility from a hospital with staples in his stomach. We got to St Therese and he was in bed with his heavy jacket on and clothing and shoes. No one to change him around. He had to go to the bathroom and we asked several people who said they were new. They put him in a hoist after 15 or 20 minutes and finally got him to the toilet where they forgot to take his pants down and he sat on the toilet with his pants on, Poor POOR training. He could not get a drink for dinner like a boost drink as his throat hurt and no one knew where anything was. We are worried and i’m sure i won’t get much sleep tonight and my dad seemed very uncomfortable. Deb a person in charge told us she would take care of these issues but i am wondering if we put our dad in the right place.
