  • Be blind, disabled or at least 65 years of age
  • Not reside in a Medicaid facility
  • Live in a licensed residential care facility or nursing home
  • Have insufficient income to cover the cost of care in the facility

Assisted Living Bridge Loan Seniors who need immediate financial assistance to make assisted living arrangements can apply for a bridge loan from Elderlife Financial. These loans are useful for seniors going through the process of benefits approval or waiting for the sale of a home, and they’re a good alternative to reverse mortgages. A bridge loan can have a term of up to 12 months, and the funds can be sent directly to the borrower’s care facility. Multiple family members can apply on behalf of a senior, making age, health and individual credit scores less important in the approval process.  For more information or to apply for a bridge loan, contact Elderlife Financial Services at (888) 228-4500.
