We visited Elliot Place Retirement. The structures for the seniors is very good, very nice. However, the office building was bad and very moldy, but when you get out of there and go to the senior structures, they're fine. I saw a 1-bedroom. It was a nice size, everything was handy, there was a small kitchen, a larger front room, and a fine patio door. It was fine, especially for under $3,000 a month. The grounds were good.

I liked that Elliot Place is kind of secluded and away from the traffic. The room space is good, and all the rooms have a deck or a garden area. They have a beauty shop on-site, and they also have monthly meetings. I saw their 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments, they were spacious; enough for one or two people. The person who gave me the tour was friendly and the residents were nice enough to have someone come into their apartments.

The tour I had at Elliott Place Retirement was really nice. It was a well kept up area and it was only one level. They have the activities posted. For each individual unit, they had a big enough space for if you have a wheelchair. There's a backdoor patio, which was nice. There was a porch swing and an open room. My mom really liked it. The staff greeted us warmly, and people were nice and friendly.

Elliot Place is very nice, and I'm on their waiting list. The rooms are very big with plenty of room in the bedroom and very nice walk-in closets and pantry. The bathrooms are a good size. It's one story, so that's convenient. You can go to your apartment from the center hallway or through the front door. They have a nice community room, and a porch with wicker furniture and a swing. They have a bus service to the grocery stores and doctors' appointments. The lady we met was very helpful, very nice, and took a lot of time with us.

I liked Elliott Place, it was very clean. The director took us around to see the community. I thought that the place was nice and the location was good. There was a bridge that was being built close to the highway. The apartments were very nice-looking and well-equipped for older people. The bathrooms had safety grab bars and walk-in showers, and every one of these apartments had a patio off of it. It was all on one level. They also provide one meal a day in a nice gathering room where residents could also socialize.

The facilities and the living accommodations at Elliott Place Retirement were excellent. They had a nice central dining area in one of the main buildings that's easily accessible, well lit, kept up very nicely, and the furniture is in good shape. It's a smaller community and they had no covered parking. The lady who showed us everything was very informative and knowledgeable. They offered a meal plan if you desired to have one. They have a nice-sized kitchen if you want to prepare your own stuff. They're an older setup, but everything was clean and in pretty top shape, the grass was manicured, no trash hanging out over the can, no dumpsters overflowing, and the front doorsteps of people's apartments were all neat and clean. All the facilities have a little patio and are all on one level. We had a good experience there.

My mother moved into Elliot Place, and so far, it's been great. They've been very accommodating; we even got to pick out her paint colors. The room is very large and has a full kitchen, though they still provide one meal a day, which is great. They have a bus service. The price is reasonable and of great value. I would recommend them.

I like Elliott Place Retirement because it's very secluded and almost feels like it is hidden among nice homes. It's very nice. The rooms are OK. They have a small area where you can plant a few flowers outside your place and scheduled activities. They take their clients around to places nearby; it is a very nice setup. They schedule doctor's appointments, and transport you as well. The people were very nice and very sweet. They took me around and showed me everything. The staff who assisted me was very friendly and very accommodating.

Our tour of Bickford of Raytown was very good. The director was just an excellent and fantastic lady. You fell in love with her from the start. It would be a good choice. It was a bit smaller. The problem was that it didn't have Medicare bids or the full continuum of care that we needed. They had a full schedule of different activities for the residents, plus a community rooms, TV, movies, crafts, and exercise classes. The grounds were very nice. The assisted living was on the second floor. Each of the units had a picture window into the hallway.
