We picked it because of location. It's close to a hospital, doctors, and our children. It turned out to be a good deal because we get pretty good service. The only problem I had was with the dining room staff because they're a little bit slow. They're a little bit repetitious on their menus. They had a good variety of activities.

My father was in The Villages of St. Peters for rehab for 20 days. It was OK, but I like it better when my brother was in there a while back a few years after they had built it. To me, they weren't doing a lot. It's under new management now and I think it's great. The staff was excellent. The food was fine and he liked it. He didn't have any complaints. He was just there for rehab. They were regaining his upper body strength and getting his legs to move here and there. It was a nice and clean facility.

I visited a friend here, but people weren't very friendly. I had lunch there and noticed that they weren't very friendly to my friend and as a consequence, weren't' very friendly to me. I just got a bad vibe about the place, I felt that just because she has a dog that they're not crazy about her. The lunch was very nice, the food was good, and I enjoyed it. I just felt that the food is too regimented.

My aunt was at the assisted living of Villages of St. Peters and the place was really great. She got wonderful care there and they really took good care of her. Her family was almost there every day. She seemed to like the food, so it must have been OK. The place was always nice and clean. Whenever I visited, I just signed the book and went to her room. It also has lovely surroundings. They also seem to have a lot of planned activities that seem a lot of fun, especially during holidays. They have a popcorn machine, a soda machine, and an ice cream bar.

I was very impressed with it. However, they didn't have extended care, and we need to move if we need it. My husband liked it the best so far. They have plenty of rooms where you can mingle with the others. We liked the meal programs, and we ate in their dining room, which was impressive. The rooms are fine, they have washers and dryers in the rooms, or you could put them in there, and they also have hookups for cable and TV, which we liked. The staff was very friendly and likeable.
