I visited this facility

We saw both assisted and independent living facilities at Acacia Springs. The room I saw was adequate for the price. We stayed for dinner and people were dancing after. The dining area was very welcoming and adequate in size, and the food was very good. The staff was excellent. There were a lot of staff members and they were all very willing to help. I was very impressed.

I am/was a resident of this facility

The people at Acacia Springs are my type of people. They look normal. They don't look like they have a lot of money. I came to their happy hour and we had a good time talking to the people who live there already. It's really great. They have lots of activities. You can choose whatever you want to do. They have a gym and a hot tub for the pool outside. They have fitness classes for stretching, you can play bridge, bingo, and you can do arts and crafts. The food is good. If you don't like anything on the right side of the menu, you can go on the left side and choose whatever you want. The place is small. The staff is wonderful, including the maintenance people. Everybody is just great.

Acacia Springs was very high quality. They had nice accommodations. It's a very complete offering in terms of facilities, restaurant, food, and activities. The person during the tour was very knowledgeable and pleasant. They had a very nice dining facility. We saw the pool area and the fitness center.

I like Acacia Springs a lot. The outside of it wasn't really inviting, but when you walk inside it's like walking into a hotel. It has marble floors and it's more formal, like the Ritz. Even their activities and centers are bigger and nicer. The menu looked amazing. The food was restaurant-style food. They offer balanced, appealing meals. They serve good dessert, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have more than five choices for dinner. They also serve beer, wine, and coffee in the bistro.

I visited this facility

I toured Acacia Springs with my wife. The staff was very friendly. The facility appeared to be newer. For my mother's price range, the assisted living was a little beyond our reach and there wasn't an opening at that time. The opening is at the independent facility. They had three meals with a bistro. They offered housekeeping, a theater, a library, a game room, card tables, and two pool tables at different areas of the facility, a salon on-site, and a computer facility. The staff was very knowledgeable and very friendly.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My parents were residents of Acacia Springs for almost 2 years. The care in the facility is great, it's an active community, the food is good, the places are clean, and the two bedrooms are very adequate. They started in independent living, and now they're in assisted living. It's not a huge place, it's a nice place, it's more intimate, and they do interact a lot with people there. Everybody knows each other. They have a pool, you can use it year-round if you want, it's heated, it's outside, they also have a hot tub that's inside, they have 2 dining rooms, one for independent and one for assisted living. Even if you're in assisted living, you can go to the independent side, you can go to either side you want. My father likes to have omelets every morning, so they give him an omelet every single morning, cause that's what he wants. You can have breakfast in your room at any time, and they'd like you to go down for lunch and dinner, to one of the cafeterias. The dining room is nice, especially on the independent side. Because of the pandemic, they haven't had their bar open, they had a fruit bar that was open 24/7, but when things settle down, they'll reopen it, and you'll be able to get your coffee or anything like that any time of the day without asking somebody to get it for you. They have the typical bingo and other games. My mother goes to an exercise class almost every day, and if it's nice, they do it outside. They have a movie room and a library, they have a beauty shop, and the best exercise room of any assisted living I've been in. It's clean, it's not like over- the- top showy, it has that very home feel to it, the lady who runs it is phenomenal, she does an excellent job. They brought someone in for their flu shots, anybody who wanted their flu shots could go upstairs and get them, same with their covid shots. They have two buses, three days a week, they'll drive you anywhere you wanna go, to your doctors, or hairdressers, anywhere. You just sign up for it. There are dinner sign-ups if you wanna go for dinner, they'll take your group to dinner somewhere outside the facility, or they do trips to Walmart, they save Mondays and Fridays for shopping needs, and if you can't do the shopping, they'll shop for you. You just pay for whatever your thing was, they don't make you pay extra for that, that's all included. They're very helpful there. They have a couple of different church services there. They started having cocktail nights, and they have live music, entertainers come in and sing, and whoever has a birthday on a certain month, they have a special birthday dinner for them, and they'll have cake or a meal of their choice like steak or lobster, whatever they decided to fix, and they recognize the veterans. The veterans always have their pictures on the wall. The one drawback I would say is the one-bedroom is really small, but some people are fine with it, one of my mom's neighbors is there too, she has the one-bedroom, and it suited her fine 'cause she goes "I'm never in my room unless I'm sleeping or just relaxing." They have two outdoor areas, they also have a courtyard that you can have cookouts in, and they have a little putting green there. You can have pets.

Acacia Springs was an industrial-looking place that makes you feel like you're in a warehouse. They don't have real kitchens. I won't consider it, as a rational and capable person, to live in a place where I won't be able to do any cooking. They were also very small. A lot of the residents were very nice, and the staff takes very good care of their people. The staff was extremely good to everybody, when we walked around they knew everybody by name, and was really pleasant. The staff was quite nice. I felt it was a very emotionally healthy place for people. They serve free wine in the afternoon. People give up a lot when they give up their homes, and it's so sweet to know that you can go down and share a table and have a glass of wine. I thought that was lovely. The amenities are great, the place is very nice, and I felt that it was really more for people with a strong need for assisted living. The staff was very nice and professional. They had a lovely dining area.

Acacia Springs was very nice and bigger than the other places I looked at, but the room was too much like a hotel room. The staff was helpful, took me everywhere, and answered my questions. I would've liked the room to be more apartment like. It had a little sink and a very tiny refrigerator, and having a little galley kitchen as an option would have made a big difference for me. The facility looked nice, well maintained, and cheerful. They had a pool and a gym.

My parents moved into Acacia Springs. The people are very nice and they go out of their way to help you as much as they can. The maintenance people saw I was moving my parent’s stuff in and they came and hooked the TV up without me asking. The residents are up and about. Most of the employees have been there for quite a few years, and the average stay for people has been around eight years. The whole environment stood out because it’s independent care, and like the guy said, "Pretend you’re on a cruise ship and you’re not getting off the boat." They provide entertainment. Just yesterday they had a guy come in who was a part of The Platters. He sang to the people and they had a happy hour. It’s a $1,000 difference with assisted living. They do laundry, weekly cleaning, and they do your sheets and towels. They have a full-size gym, a pool, and a jacuzzi. I would recommend them.

We toured Acacia Springs, we really liked it, but it was just too expensive. The apartments were really nice, and they had common rooms for the residents. We also saw a gym and their dining area. The staff members that we met were really professional.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I stayed at Acacia Spring briefly. I liked the friendliness of everyone. I saw a 1-bedroom, which I thought was small. There was no stove or refrigerator. The residents seemed very happy. The building is 20 years old, the plumbing is worn out, and there's a smell. Basically, I loved what they were doing, and the way they accommodated the residents. They offer three meals a day, the cleaning service was wonderful, and the happy hour on Friday was the best thing. They take people out to dinner, and every week they do something different. The staff is very accommodating.

I toured Acacia Springs. The rooms were a little on the small side; however, it's pleasant. They had more independent rooms than assisted living. The facilities were clean and well maintained.

Acacia Springs' staff is pleasant, from sales to management to nursing. The place is nicely kept up. The food lacks taste and substance. Overall, the facility, amenities, and staff that interacts with the residents are very nice, but I felt slightly lied to and misled by the sales staff.

We went to Acacia Springs. The staff was friendly. They were a little too busy. They had no room. They did have a smoking area, which was nice, and they made it easy, but they had no downstairs room. It looked old. They didn't have a room available that we would have wanted. They showed us a room, like a guest room. The staff who showed us the room wasn't the person we were scheduled with, because she was busy with another person. She was friendly, but she didn't know a lot because she wasn't the right person.

Acacia Springs was very accommodating. They had older clientele. It seemed they had a lot of different activities posted on the board for people to see, which was nice. Lunch was nice. The apartments didn't have a stove and refrigerator. All of the rooms entered from a center hallway which I like.
