There's no odor and they're keeping Brookdale Cheyenne very clean. I saw people moving around and they seemed happy. My son asked a lot of questions, and they were very informative and very friendly. The staff members stopped and introduced themselves and said hello. The food looked good. The menu was very good and you had the option of special meals.

When we came to Brookdale, there were probably 12 to 15 residents in the common area talking. It felt like a home, and the apartments were larger, but there were not as many choices with the food. The layout of the apartment was cumbersome, the bedrooms were very tiny, and in the larger units we looked at, they combined two units, but it was not the most efficient space. The staff was very helpful and more concerned with what was going on with mom first than trying to get us to sign a lease. The facility was laid out reasonably well with lots of different areas, and it did not appear to be a long walk to get to the common areas. The only thing that was tough with them was location and parking.

Brookdale Cheyenne was nice, but we didn't care for the location and the surrounding community. It's not something that we wanted to put my mother-in-law in. The rooms and layout were nice and the facility was well maintained. However, you could tell they used to have cooktop stoves in the rooms at one time and instead of replacing the entire countertop so they can look nice, they just have a piece of plywood over it and it doesn't look right. The staff was nice and cordial. I have no complaints about the staff, and the people were very nice.

I visited Brookdale Cheyenne and it was nice. Nothing was going on when I went there, but the rooms were good enough for my mother. The people were nice and it was clean.

I visited Brookdale Cheyenne for a friend but I don't think she would be happy there because there wasn't enough closet room to put the average woman's clothes which are seasonal. There wasn't enough storage room. One thing I didnt understand was some of the residents have cars, but the parking that was provided right next to the door was for employees, but for residents, they have to go to the back of the building. It didn't seem to make sense to me. The staff seemed very nice. It's a beautiful facility. There's a very nice landscaped area in the back of the building in front of the parking that they expect the residents or visitors to park in.

Everything about Brookdale Cheyenne was great according to the price. You get what you pay for. The person who assisted us was also great. We walked by while the residents were playing Bingo.

I would be afraid to visit Brookdale Cheyenne because it's in a part of town where it feels like my life is in danger. It's a little older community, and they were in the process of changing owners, so there was no guarantee other than the price, but going forward their management has changed. They said that at the end of the month someone was buying the building and doing their magic to it. The rooms were nice, it was a nice place for something that was around 10 years old. They do all of the activities that other places do like cards and shopping, and they have everything but a pool. It had a kitchen like everyone else, but I really felt like it was just a little bit older. Still, I'm sure they'd remodel them. The occupants just weren't friendly. None of them said hi, and when you walked by them they're just like in a comatose state. The staff member that I met was very nice.
