Overview of New Jersey Assisted Living

As the most densely populated state in the United States, New Jersey offers its many residents a dynamic array of environments and atmospheres to fit needs and desires of all kinds. The state has a rich history and is often referred to as “The Crossroads of the Revolution” due to its involvement in the American Revolutionary War. Many critical battles took place in New Jersey and both armies crossed through the state numerous times.

But New Jersey has more than just history on its side. Gorgeous beach coasts, sprawling metropolitan areas and striking Appalachian Mountains make the state a culturally diverse and sensationally interesting place to call home. Assisted living in New Jersey allows seniors to engage with this proud, opulent history and to live in one of the most religiously and ethnically diverse states in the country.

Along with the DHSS, The Division of Aging & Community Services (DACS) monitors the health and wellbeing of residents in assisted living and nursing home facilities.
