Yardley Commons is a very nice community. The staff is fine. My father-in-law has a studio apartment, but they have a variety of room options; it depends on what you can afford. They have game nights and shuffleboard. They prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and all the meals are included in the rent. Housekeeping comes in once a week to do vacuuming and cleaning. They have a cafeteria and a library.

Brookdale Echelon Lake was rather dreary and I thought it wasn't very welcoming in terms of the atmosphere. The staff who gave the tour was very nice, she did say that a renovation was coming, which I appreciated. But we had to make a decision on the place right away. From the outside it looked very nice, it had a very nice environment with a lake in the back. But inside, it looked old and needed some updating and remodeling.

Brookdale Evesham was a very nice community physically speaking, but it's too big. The hallways were too long, and with my mother's age, her travel to and from the common areas would be just too far. The building was not small enough or contained enough, it was too spread out. The staff who gave the tour was very nice and professional, she made a few follow-up calls. The rooms I saw there were on the small side. We were there around lunchtime and most people seemed to be eating. The community was very nice, it had a bright and pleasant atmosphere, and very well-appointed. We like the atmosphere, but the reason for choosing somewhere else was the size of the place and the units available were too far from the common areas.

My parents moved into Brookdale Evesham. Everything is wonderful, and they're very pleased. They already had their holiday Christmas party which was lovely, they have mahjong, card games, and they're just getting acclimated. They have a good size apartment, it's one of the larger ones, so mom could bring some of her stuff. She's thrilled with the staff. They couldn't be any nicer. I ate there, the food service was excellent, and the food was very good. They have a movie room, they have a separate dining hall for parties if you want to celebrate birthdays, so everything seems very nice.

I liked Yardley Commons. It had a very bright and friendly atmosphere. They go out to dinner, they go shopping, and they have a lot of things going on in the facility. You can do those if you want to or not if you don't want to be bothered. They have pool, poker nights, game nights, and exercise classes.

My father has moved into Yardley Commons. Everything is very good and looks very nice. The staff members are very friendly. They have activities as much as my father wants to do. They're very good. Everybody there is very nice. Food is very good, too. The place is very nice and everything is taken care of very nicely. They have an outdoor area, which is all kept very nice.

I was accommodated fine at Yardley Commons. The location was nice across from a mall and shops. I didn't like the food, but the residents seemed to like it. Most people I've seen had walkers, which is in a different place than I am. They're renovating the apartments and they all had washers and dryers. It's a nice facility; I just like the newer ones. It's clean and the dining room was fine. The staff was very friendly and professional.

We moved into Yardley Commons and love our place. They allow me and my mother to live together. She has a private bath and a walk-in tub, and I have my private room and private bath. We have a full refrigerator, nice cabinets, a nice place for a microwave, and space for a long sofa, desk, chair, recliners, and dining table. They have a fireplace, a dining room, pool table, and a game room, which I love. It's right across from a mall. The staff is wonderful, helpful, try to get you involved, and have a Tuesday class with beautiful flowers.
According to Genworth’s 2018 Cost of Care Study, monthly assisted living costs in Voorhees Township are significantly higher than the national average of $4,000 but lower than the state average of $6,065. Note: Senior care cost data wasn’t available for Voorhees, so data for the closest city, Philadelphia, PA, was used.

New Jersey has some of the highest senior care costs in the country thanks in part to the relatively high cost of living in the state. Nursing home care in a semiprivate room costs nearly double what assisted living does. While a home health aide and homemaker services cost about $750 less per month than assisted living, it’s important to realize that residential senior care costs usually include room and board. Millions of low-income Americans receive basic health coverage through Medicaid, the nationwide health insurance program that was created in 1965. Medicaid is jointly funded by federal and state governments, and in New Jersey, Medicaid is administered through the NJ FamilyCare program under the Department of Human Services, Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services.
As of 1995, New Jersey shifted Medicaid beneficiaries from the previous fee-for-service program to managed care through five health plans in order to expand services and benefits.
Seniors aged 65 and older who are permanent New Jersey residents may qualify for free NJ FamilyCare coverage if they meet the following criteria:
Optional State Supplementation
Seniors in New Jersey who receive Social Security Income may be eligible for a state-funded financial increase for use towards the room-and-board portion of assisted living costs under the Optional State Supplementation program.
As of 2019, the maximum combined SSI and OSS monthly payment available to a single senior living in a licensed assisted living facility in New Jersey is $981.05, while couples can receive a maximum of $1,895.36 for the first month. For every additional month, each receive the individual amount.
