Our mother spent her last three months at this facility. I felt the place was right for her from my first visit. It was clean and homey and the people working there were welcoming to both mom and our family. We never felt she was neglected in any aspect of her care. And how many assisted living facilities can boast that the staff sings to your loved one!

This building is understaffed. We viewed memory care and CV residents were by themselves in front of the tv with no caregivers in sight. It smelled terrible and food was on the floor while residents looked unkempt. There were no residents anywhere in the assisted building. It was very empty and also smelled. The courtyards were not maintained. Very disappointed.

It was a difficult decision to put Mom in a memory care unit. The staff at Avamere was supportive in every aspect of the move. She is thriving and enjoys the activities provided. The safety and care provided has eased our concerns about her well being.

Life Spire Assisted Living Rio Rancho was very nice; I was really impressed with them. Because of COVID, I only met one person. She was wonderful and answered all of our questions and showed us around. They're very strict with what can be seen, you can't just walk around the entire place. But we were able to see the room that would be available, if that's the one we're on the waitlist for, we walked around outside and sat in the room for quite a while and she answered questions that we have. They had a really nice gathering room with a TV. They had a couple of different areas that we weren't able to see but they also had gathering areas, there's a cafeteria but it's behind the general area, so it wasn't something we could go and look at. We saw the room and the outside congregating areas which were very nice. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it really was for the price that they're asking.

We're currently living in The Rio Grande Gracious Retirement Living and it's perfect. The staff is very, very good, friendly, helpful, and competent. The apartment is exactly what we wanted. We have many activities every day like exercise class. The food is good, but we would like more vegetables. We have everything, a library, and a gym with exercise equipment. It's bright and cheerful.

My experience at Fairwinds has been wonderful. I have a wonderful apartment. All the people have been nice and friendly. The food has been great. The servers are great, too. They have a very nice exercise room, a pool room, and a number of different meeting rooms. The staff members are wonderful.

Our experience having my mother in Fairwinds Rio Rancho has been good so far. They're doing a whole lot of renovation right now so they're taking care of the place. The meals are good, and the staff is friendly. My mother is really enjoying bingo, there's happy hour on Fridays that she goes to, and several games. The rooms and the layout are beautiful. They have a laundry area on every floor, a gym, movie theater, meeting rooms, game rooms, and beautiful outdoor courtyards. The dining room is restaurant-style. Overall, the care my mom received there is really good.

My mother was at Fairwinds. We had her there for several years. The room was nice, although the maintenance had decreased over time. I didn't think they did a good job of keeping it clean. We bought some brand new sheets for my mother but they disappeared. We had to hound them for four weeks before they found them. Also, my mother had a fireplace in her apartment, so we put in work orders three times at least to have it fixed, but they never fixed it. It still wasn't fixed when she moved out. The maintenance had gone way downhill. The carpet was dirty. It wasn't that way when we moved her three years ago. They had activities and a happy hour on Friday. My mother had a group of women that she played cards with, and she played bingo there.

I was pleased with what I saw at Avamere at Rio Rancho. The rooms were a little small, but it's fine. I don't need big anymore. The only thing I wish they had was a treadmill. They don't have an exercise room and that's the only thing that I'm disappointed in. It was bright, cheery, and everybody looked happy. I ate lunch there and the food was OK.
