Dominican Village is a non-for-profit, non-sectarian retirement community that was founded by the Sisters of St. Dominic. They, along with other sponsors that include Catholic Health Services, The Alpha Omega Foundation and NYCB Foundation, are the reason why we are able to provide our residents with the highest level of amenities and services.

At Dominican Village you are welcomed by modern common areas that feature stylish decorations and sleek designs. Your new apartment home will be be a one- or two-bedroom floor plan that features a kitchen, decorator cabinets, wall-to-wall carpeting and closets. All utilities are included in the monthly rent except for cable and telephone.

Each and every day our skilled culinary team prepares delicious freshly prepared meals in an attractive and elegant dining room. We offer a full breakfast and dinner daily, with the option of brunch or dinner on Sundays. Numerous activities are organized daily and favorite activities include outings to the Vanderbilt museum or aquarium, arts and crafts, and canasta. Our community also features a putting course, an event hall, a lounge, library and a full-service beauty salon/barber shop.

Available Services

We pride ourselves in offering maintenance-free living, meaning we take care of routine housekeeping, linen and laundry services. Daily support with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating,hygiene and mobility allow residents to age in place at Dominican Village.

Residents can be at peace that there is highly trained and caring staff on site around the clock to offer support. Personal care aides are also available 24-hours a day, providing peace of mind that medical issues can be quickly attended to. Families also appreciate knowing that we offer a respite program, and all the amenities and services we provide to our residents are included.
