My mother has been a resident of The Bristal at Armonk for several weeks now. It's a very clean place with a lot of types of activities. The accommodations are excellent, and they have many different rooms like the cinema, salon, and a bistro. They also have a pool table, day excursions, and so on. My mother is in a studio room shaped like a trapezoid rectangle. They have a brochure that comes out every month with a calendar on it with all of the daily activities including excursions. They also have different religious activities, a priest who comes in on Wednesdays and trips to go to church in their SUVs. Other than the independent and assisted living, they have what they call Reflections for their dementia patients. I haven't eaten there but my mom says she likes the food. When I consider all of the different facilities, I would say that they are very competitive in their prices.

My aunt is staying at the Bristal in Armonk. It is beautiful, but just expensive. It is getting expensive because they have raised their rates, and that is what she is worried about. That is why I was trying to move her here, but it is even more expensive. The people are nice, and the food is good from what she says. There is a bistro room that we always sit in where there is always snacks and drinks and TV on and things going on, so she is never bored. Her room is nice. Everything is great. The place is brand new; it is only 2 years old, and it is beautiful.
