The rooms are dirty especially the bathroom. The food is horrible the same thing you get for lunch and dinner. The nurses are very rude and not willing to help the patient.

I have had two incredible experiences with the Boulevard ALP. My mother-in-law lived there for about three years and a close friend moved in there for about a year and a half as well. The staff was extraordinary. The administrators were empathetic and kind and I always knew I could count on them. There were several aides who felt they could not do enough for the two women I knew. They would greet them warmly and make my mother-in-law and my friend feel like a million dollars (though they were both on Medicaid). The floors are carpeted and lovely and the corridors contain comfortable seating arrangements as well as a table where residents, both male and female, sometimes play cards. The food was good and very plentiful and there was effort made in making sure the residents were happy with their table mates. I often saw camaraderie among the residents themselves, and many were very happy to be there. It often seemed like a girls’ club. One administrator made it her business to walk through the dining room during each meal and she would stop and say a word to anyone who might be feeling I’ll at ease. This same administrator, who is not a mental health “expert” helped assuage my mil’s depression much to her, and the family’s, delight. Our entire extended family will always be grateful.

This place should be condemned, the management is terrible and the staffing needs help! Always short of personnel, veterans are taken care of properly. This place has a foul smell emanating throughout the hallway.

Castle Senior Living provided my loved one with amazing care, compassion, and patience during this year of great difficulty. My family and I are grateful for everything that they do.

My mom has been a resident at Castle for about six years. For those six years, my Mom has always gotten personal attention and care. She continues to receive the best care I could ask for. I am very grateful for all the staff at Castle, and all that they have done for my mom.

My husband is doing fine in Long Island Care Center. He has no complaints, so we're happy with it. It could be a little bit improved. I've only seen him a couple of times, and they seem to like him. I haven't seen his apartment. Because of COVID you're not allowed in the rooms, but he says he's comfortable. His therapy seems to be going well. He goes up and down. I've talked to his care person, and she's very nice. So far, I really have no complaints. They have not been that communicative. They haven't really called me. I've had to call them more often than they've called me. Other than daily rehab, he doesn't seem to be needing any other special care. He seems to be OK with the food. He hasn't complained with anything specific or complained at all.

My godmother is in Highland Care Center for rehab. It was okay, the staff was friendly. They had to organize, they had a schedule, you just couldn't walk in there to see your loved one; you have to have an appointment, and it's a supervised visit. You can always call the nurse station to check on them. They're very friendly, and very pleasant with you on the phone. It was a shared room at one time, and I think right now she has the room to herself. I've seen an outdoor patio where the patients can come out and sit.

Castle Senior Living at Forest Hills was fine. It wasn't new, but it was clean, and it seemed to check all the boxes. The staff member who showed us around was nice and very informative. I have no complaints. I would recommend it. They had field trips out to stores, a lot of recreation areas to watch TV or to gather, a courtyard, a barber, a nurse on-staff, and doctors that come to the facility. It felt homey.

I started a Chess club and we already had a match with another club. Fun for all. The yard is beautiful and me and several other residents visit yard daily. Food is tasty and healthy. The female health aides are friendly and helpful. Fareeda has been very helpful with my activities.
