We toured Christian Fellowship House, but we weren't really happy with it so we didn't move her there. The room we saw was all clean, but very small. Their activities were fine, but the rec rooms were also very small. Their staff seemed to be very friendly, although I thought that their amenities were kind of small. They showed us everything during the tour, including their small dining area. They provide assistance with laundry, and they have medication services where they administer medication. I would rate the amenities a two because that was our big deciding factor, but I was impressed with the outdoor areas. They had a beautiful patio overlooking the beautiful horse farm. It was very nice.

I toured Christian Fellowship House, and I liked it very much. I place my mother in the waitlist. It's homey, the room is very comfortable, and it's not institutional at all. The staff, Pam, was great, and she gave us a tour of the whole facility. The dining area was very clean and looked nice. They were setting up for a music program when I was there. I did not see anything that I had a problem with, it smelled clean, but the only issue is that you have to be mobile, because they don't accommodate wheelchairs. This is half the price of the other facilities.

Christian Fellowship House is really for people who have dementia or Alzheimer's. There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms. It is an older house so they only have the air-conditioning in the hallway. Their elevator was like a one-person elevator; I would be afraid to go in it. The rooms were clean. I didn't see any activity. Residents were all sitting in one room watching TV. It just wasn't for our needs. The dining area seemed clean and OK. When we went there, they didn't know we were coming. Meanwhile, I was told that I had an appointment there, but they had no clue that I had an appointment. The staff seemed pleasant. It was like an old mansion that was nicely decorated with antique-type furniture, but it didn't suit our needs. There were no active activities going on.

When it was time to move Dad to assisted living, we toured many facilities finding most of them large, impersonal and institutional. We were thrilled to find the Christian Fellowship House in Syosset. This charming, cozy former Gold Coast estate sits on bucolic grounds overlooking horse pastures and offers residents a comfortable and homey environment. In the more than 4 years that Dad had lived at the Christian Fellowship House, we've found the staff to be very attentive and caring. Residents enjoy many activities ranging from cards and bingo to art classes to barbeques and holiday parties. Dad is very happy and comfortable at the Christian Fellowship House, and we are thankful for the wonderful and caring owners and staff that take such good care of him. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Christian Fellowship House to anyone looking for an intimate, personal and caring envioronment for their loved one.

My mom Julia was suffering from alzheimer's and in need of more care then I was able to provide at home. After trying an overpriced assisted living that was not properly looking after my mom,I found Christian Fellowship House. The moment we walked in to this bed and breakfast type place. we both fell in love with it. Pam assured us that my mom would be taken care of.....and taken care of she was. The staff makes you feel like you are part of a family there. The place is clean and my mom and I fell in love with the staff. My mom was always clean and dressed and her hair and nails were meticulous. My mom was always trying to leave and gave them a run for their money. she was always gently reminded of where she was and calmed down. I would visit numerous times a week and she was always happy and well taken care of. As her health declined and she needed hospice care C.F.H. was able to keep her there and that was a blessing. My mom was able to live the remainder of her life with the dignity and respect she deserved. My mom died Oct 2017 and I still go back to visit. Pam,Sue,Michelle, the rest of the staff and especially Sharon gave my mother a loving and caring environment to live the remaining time she had on earth.

My search for a suitable home for my mother was extensive. She needed an environment that was nurturing, safe, tranquil and home-like. I found the perfect fit in Christian Fellowship House. The setting is unique; ten acres with lovely scenic views and a large patio and gardens. As a family-operated facility with 45 residents the family and staff get to know each resident well and are able to promptly identify issues. The bed and breakfast-style setting provides beautifully decorated bedrooms, common areas with lots of light, and all the things that makes a house a home. I would highly recommend it for families whose loved ones would thrive in a home-like setting. I'm reserving a room for myself down the road! Silvana Gullo

When I was looking for an assisted living for my mother near me, I wanted a beautiful and loving environment. I did not want a chain. I just happened to come across Christian Fellowship on the internet. It was a God send. It was meant to be. My brother and I went to look at it and we were absolutely amazed at how beautiful the home was and the staff were so wonderful. My brother and I kept saying this was too good to be true. But it was everything we had hope for and more. The home is beautiful, clean and impeccably maintained. Pam , Sue and the rest of the staff are family. They took wonderful care of my mom. They were extremely attentive to all my mothers needs and would keep in contact with me constantly. When I would go to visit my mother, I was visiting her at home not a facility. The food is excellent. They have so many activities that kept my mom busy. They take care of everything from ordering medication to having a birthday cake for her. One of my friends mother just moved in and another is also moving in on my recommendation. I had such peace of mind placing my mother here. It was a miracle that I just happened to find Christian Fellowship and I and my mother are truly blessed to not only have a beautiful home for my mom but to know such wonderful people that run the home. They are now part of our family!
