I would not recommend Carillon Assisted Living of Fuquay-Varina. There were times where my mother's diaper wasn't changed because she didn't want it changed, so they left her. Rather than waking her to get her to breakfast, they would bring her food and leave it there in the room for when she woke up. A lot of the staff members are not qualified and if they don't want to deal with a certain person there, they won't. The place looks very nice, and the location is good because it's close to the church and school. It's actually a little bit more expensive than other senior places that give better care and have more qualified staff. For Carillon's quality of care, it's not a very good value. My mother was diabetic and they were giving her bread and things that a diabetic shouldn't have, everyone gets the same thing. There wasn't always somebody at the front, so you can just walk in and go where you please.

My father moved into Windsor Point on November 28th. It was absolutely perfect. The staff members were excellent. My father wasn't able to enjoy any of their activities because of his condition, but there were plenty of amenities available. Anything residents wanted to do, they were able to do. They had a library, a gathering room, a TV room, and a convenience store. The dining area was clean. The food was excellent, too.

We visited Windsor Point, but it wasn't for us, and it was too expensive. The rooms were too small. They have plenty of open areas and they have amenities, as well as transportation for the residents. The actual location isn't in an enticing area, and it was a little bit old and not attractive. We saw them upgrading one of the apartments, and the workers were friendly. They have both independent and assisted levels of care.
