I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My brother is at Willow Grove. They're very good. It was a very easy entry and everything; he just didn't want to follow rules. They actually put us on a payment plan for the move-in fee, so we pay $250 a month for six months, so that was nice of them, because we couldn't do the rent and the full move-in fee. I haven't seen him since then, so we've just been texting about other things. He must like it because one time when his son came there, he said he hadn't seen him so upbeat for a long time. Everything is included: all the meals seven days a week, laundry, housekeeping, and the bus -- it's nothing extra. Everything was very good. They did a very good job with the move-in and getting us going rather than constantly asking for different forms and bank statements.

I toured Willow Grove. I liked it. It was pretty nice, the people there were nice, excellent. I liked the rooms, they were nice sized, they had housekeeping there, they had fitness if you wanted. They had everything you needed. They had a gym. The meals were included, they had activities also. The rooms were large, they looked good, comfortable, and had a nice layout. The staff was good, friendly, and cared for the people there. It was pretty clean, and the building looked good.

My dad has been living at Royal Park Of Mathews for two weeks now and they're phenomenal. So far, so good. We've really been blessed to find a suitable place for taking care of Dad. The nursing home is beautiful, clean, well-kept up, and doesn't smell. The aides and the attendants are very expedient in the cleanup. You smell nothing, and it doesn't even smell like a nursing home. The food is also very good.

Willow Grove was very clean and very resort-like. We liked it very much. The person who accommodated us was amazing. The dining area was really nice and had an open layout. They were setting up an afternoon party when we visited. They have a library and an exercise area.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother was a brief resident of Royal Park of Mathews, which is a skilled nursing community. I would have been totally impressed, but they moved my mother from rehab to a room with someone else while I was out of town, instead of letting me know ahead of time. I did tell them I was going to be at the beach and they moved her while was at the beach. I didn't like the way it was handled and they did not follow protocol. They didn't call the nurse on staff, and instead they called a social worker. I called the director to let him know how it was dealt with, and I couldn’t be more impressed with him. Then they moved her again, they moved her three times in four days. They also moved someone out so they could move my mother in, and they shouldn't have moved that lady out. But in the end they did help me, so I wouldn't want others not to go there because they're neat, clean, and it looks like a retreat place. I also thought my mother was well taken care of there and I was impressed with the staff. They had activities for the residents even though my mother couldn't participate.

Willow Grove is a nice place; I've considered going there whenever I'm ready to go. I liked that it doesn't have extreme amenities; you just have a place to live, and you have your meals. I've eaten several meals there, and they've been good. I've visited it several times for various programs and things, and everything seemed clean and neat. I liked that you can bring your own car, or you could use their transportation. They have invited me to several programs they have, like musical programs and other things.
