Overture Crabtree 55+ Apartment Homes was very nice. I toured on a Wednesday, and they happen to have wine on Wednesdays and invited me to stay. They had a little social area, where every Wednesday a group comes in to talk to the residents. It was like a sales pitch and people came in to talk about hearing aids. They bring in food and wine, and people are very sociable. It seems like a fun, nice place. They invited me to stay in their two-bedroom guest suite and I stayed overnight. On New Year's Eve they had a party, and they invited me to some other parties. The place itself was beautiful. They had a key-entry garage, so they can have a safe-setting for parking. You didn't have your own garage, but it's like a parking deck. The amenities inside the building were beautiful. They had a salon, a place to work out, and provide breakfast in the morning six days a week for free. The community was beautiful and brand-new, and the place I stayed in was gorgeous. My problem is that I have a dog, and the dog that I have is not the kind that they would permit to be in the community. It's a Pitbull terrier, and that's a big issue. The staff was great. There was a woman named Jane who I thought became my friend. We chatted and hung out, and she had great follow up and called me up to tell me that they have a few apartments they were trying to fill. The one-bedroom apartment I looked at wasn't very large. It cost $1,700 which to me is a lot of money. I have a 2,400-square-foot house and that might be a major shock for me to go from that to 700. But the place itself is beautiful. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. In their little common area where they had the hearing aid people come in to speak and bring in their food, they had like a buffet area in a long countertop with a kitchen are behind. Its nice because you could park in the parking deck and walk right in.
