Alexis Gardens is beautiful and clean. Everybody's very friendly, and the staff is amazing. My mother has a one-bedroom apartment, but they have different floor plans, one- and two-bedrooms, and studios. They play cards, they go on outings, crafts, exercises, a chapel, they have bands come in for entertainment, bible study, and bus trips. She has a microwave in her room, but they have three meals per day provided.

Alexis Gardens was nice, but I was concerned that they only had one elevator with all these residents, and it was farther away to drive and visit her. The dining area was very nice and open, and they had a library.

Genesis Village is not as clean and as nice, and they will not leave me alone. The pool is nice, but no one is ever in it. The residents seemed to really like the place. The rooms were very small and you have to bring your own furniture.

Alexis Gardens seems like a very nice place. The person who showed me around was very helpful. The food was pretty average, but the dining area was nice. I didn't find anything all that special about it.

I liked Genesis Village and its people. It had a nice setup and it was very good. Someone sits at the desk waiting for you to come in, and I like the rooms better there. I got to meet the owner who was very nice. The person who showed me around was very helpful and answered questions I didn’t know I had. They had a lot of different activities, like card games and a pool table. I was really impressed with all of it.

Genesis Village is very nice. There are plenty of things to do and things to keep you busy. They have exercises during the day, movies, entertainment, and Bible studies. They have plenty of different activities. There is also laundry at the end of the hallway that is available to you. You can go down and sign up to do your own laundry. The meals are pretty good; they serve three a day.

Genesis Village's staff was great and very caring. The residents seemed very happy and the place looked wonderful and clean.

Alexis Gardens is very nice. We ate there, and the food was good. It's very pretty, looks elegant inside, and very friendly. My father-in-law was there for around nine years, and he liked it there very much. The food was always good, and the staff was always good. My father-in-law did woodworking, and they let him use a certain area, even though they didn't have it set up originally.

We are currently working with Friends of the Family for my mother. They go to the nursing home where mother is three days a week and spend about five hours a day with her. It gives us peace of mind knowing that someone is there with her during the day. They took care of my father and now, they're taking care of my mother. My father had passed away and we really never encountered anyone that wasn't trained well or knew what to do. They had a good way of taking care of my terminally ill father and then special caring needs to take care of my mother who had Alzheimer's because she never remembered who they were. You have to have a special way of dealing with her because every time they showed up, she has no idea what they were doing and why they were there. Some of them were better than others but they do need that special training on how you react with an Alzheimer's patient. But everything's been good.
