Sheldon Oaks was pretty nice. It met what mom wanted in a place. She wanted to be with people, and it had three meals. I didn't see any problems with it. The staff during the tour was a little busy, but she answered all our questions. I think she did really well. The dining area was OK. I think that's what mom was looking for. The only problem with it is right now they want three months' payment up front before you can move in, which might be a slight problem. They reduced it a little bit on top of that, so it's really a good deal. We saw residents sitting around talking to each other, and they had some activities going on. What I was mainly impressed with was they had a lot of things to do, and they have a menu. It's a pretty nice place, and mom kind of liked it. For what they have, it's about the best place I've seen so far.

Garden Way is much better than where my parents were. We have limited access because of the virus, but my parents seem happy. The living quarters are a little bit smaller than the apartment they had at another facility, but they seem more comfortable at Garden Way. They can make more choices for themselves, even during this pandemic. They feel like they're treated with respect and more like adults than children. A lot of the amenities are shut down because of the pandemic. They think the breakfast is very good. They're not as enamored of the dinner, but they are also thinking that food is probably a little bit different during the pandemic. They don't have salad bars and fresh selections right now. They're hoping it will improve when the vaccine becomes available and we all get back to a little more normal life. When my parents moved there, a couple more residents from where they were also chose to go there. I was really impressed with how Garden Way handled their interview and the accommodations they made for them to move during this pandemic. They were really professional and very helpful. They have a spacious living room and a large master bedroom, but a really tiny second bedroom and less storage options. Two of us can now and visit at a time. My husband and I, or my brother and I can go together, but we can't eat in the dining room. The staff was very helpful when I was helping my parents move. It's outrageously expensive. It's just nice to know they're safe.

My sister-in-law moved into Garden Way, and so far, so good. Everything is good, except for the COVID-19, because everything is not fully accessible, but it's a good place though, and we like it. The food is OK, not bad, the food is very good. I've met a few of the staff. They're all very nice, very helpful, and very professional.

Sheldon Oaks was OK, it's just that they're a much older facility, but they're okay. The staff was very good, very helpful, and very professional. The rooms were good. They showed a studio, one-bedrooms, two- bedrooms, everything. They're in town, they didn't have really big gardens, but it serves its purpose for recreation.

I was at Garden Way for lunch, but the food was not good; it was just macaroni and ham. They have amenities like a workout room, Coca Cola room, a coffee place, and different areas. They are very nice, but the people there don't seem happy, and they weren't engaging. Their Coca Cola room is like a vintage soda shop; it's a 50's kind of place. I am considering them because the room I wanted was a little bigger for a little less, and it has really good light, which I need for my fiber art.

I only visited Waterford Grand and we picked that one. The rooms were small but a perfect size. The staff was wonderful, everybody was very happy, smiling, and very accommodating. They have games, card games, Mexican train games, they have a pool, and they take them places to go shopping. They do their nails and they have a beauty salon.

Sheldon Oaks was more independent living and it's an amazing facility. The personnel were extremely amiable, gave me a wonderful tour, and great explanations of what services they could offer. At that point, they did not fit our needs, but they really impressed me with the kind of facility that they were, as well as the personnel that I met. The rooms were small, but clean, and very pleasant. They have lovely places for games, like a billiards room, a library, and lovely sitting areas outside the residents' rooms. I met the cook who said that they dont only do the menus, but they like to hear what the residents like to eat, and if they have recipes theyll try them. The cook was amazing.

I toured Sheldon Oaks. I liked it, but it seemed cold and impersonal. The people going to their tables at lunchtime didnt nod, didnt acknowledge my presence, and didnt say hi. It wasnt as personable as the other place I saw. There were movies every night, different activities during lunch, and I think they take you out shopping and stuff like that. The location of it was good, and the places where I would go to shop is within walking distance. They had laundry rooms that were free. I had lunch and dinner there, and the food was very good. They have a good variety of choices. The rooms were a good size, nice, and the area was clean.

Sheldon Oaks was very good. If I decide to move that's where I'll go. It's very nice and within my budget, so that should be great. I saw three apartments and they look like my idea of where I would like to live, and the view was good. They have lots if activities, which right now I can do. The staff member who showed me around was very nice, helpful, and answered all my questions. It was a good visit.
