H & M Personal Homecare is not a good company. The service provided is very low quality. My mother has 3rd stage Alzheimer's disease. She used to have 2 aides from this company come from 7-3 and 3-11. The aides are mostly foreigners with heavy accents. The 7-3 (morning) aide took her shoes off, and had her bare feet propped up on the couch, lounging sideways! She also did not do any activities with the client. No painting, coloring, no outdoor walks or exercises. No reading of books. Nothing. They just stay on their cell phones and act as if they are to get paid just sitting there doing absolutely nothing. This aide was asked to take her feet off the furniture. The aide was rude and disrespectful; and had the nerve to say "my feet are clean!" as if this is normal and customary, therefore she was told to leave the home. The aide refused to leave! She said, "I'm not leaving until the company tells me to go!" the police had to be called to escort her off our property! Worst service ever! Second issue, the manager, Hwya came over, said she would talk to the other aides about their habits. However, Hwya found that a meeting she had to attend was more pressing than the customer care and instruction to her staff. Hwya never spoke to the other aides about their conduct, which was unprofessional. The very next day, the evening (3-11) aide (a different aide from H & M Personal Homecare) was on the couch with her bare feet propped up on the couch! My mother was in the dining room coloring at a table. The aide was nowhere near my mother (her Alzheimer's client). This aide was in the living room watching tv with her bare feet propped up on our couch acting like she lived there instead of working or helping the client. I asked her to assist my mother with her evening snack and sit at the table with her while she ate and colored. The aide was upset because she was told to take her feet off the couch and asked to do the job she was hired for. The aide packed up her belongings and walked out. Leaving my mother with no care!!! She abandoned her client, got in her car and drove off at 915pm when she was supposed to watch my mother until 11pm! The aides from this company constantly charge their cell phones using the clients electricity and stay on their phones more than they watch the client. Out of the many aides we have had from this company. They only had one really good person there. After talking to the manager, Hwya about the unacceptable, unprofessional and uncaring behavior from her staff, Hwya decided to discontinue service to my mother because we complained. I guess that was her way of retaliation. I say, good riddance. This company is absolutely the worst. We asked them to make sure our mother was hydrated. They would not encourage her to drink water during a heat wave. When we checked, mom was dehydrated and thirsty after the aides lack of care. Unprofessional conduct. There is a serious conflict of interest with this company. (the aides and manager are related) instead of corrective action to make the company better, they terminate service and leave clients high and dry. Without care. Do not depend on this company. Do not use this service. Very unprofessional conduct, I would call the service absolutely horrid. I would not trust my dog with these people. You pay for the aides to help your loved one, but you have to watch the aides. Pointless and very disappointing. This company gets negative, below zero on the star scale. Look elsewhere for your needs. This company will not care or give your loved one quality service. Please note the only reason they get one star is for the one only good aide at the company. Also this system will not post and save the information unless you choose a star. This company needs to be shut down!

I am/was a resident of this facility

Awful bed, meals the size of which are for birds, no vending machines so we\'re stuck with drinking the Pittsburgh tap water (ugh). They serve over sugared tea. No seconds of anything but morning luke warm coffee. Most of the staff is friendly

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My grandmother has been a resident for over 5 years and she loves it. She calls it her home. The staff is so attentive and they dote over her. It has a large campus and in the summer the wildlife are dancing around and its so nice to watch. Its very affordable and you get a lot of value for your money

I visited this facility

I love The Residence at Bethel Park. We picked one apartment and I love it. The staff member who accommodated me was excellent. She was very helpful, very nice, and very accommodating. She was able to work with us and what we have to work with. It is very good. The food is good, too. We had a couple of lunches and dinner there. They have a lot of activities. They have arts and crafts, games, bingo, and a library. They have everything that you would want. I don't live there yet, but I was really impressed with it. I like it well enough to decide that I want to live there.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My aunt loves Bethel Park. We have nothing but positive things to say right now. They have an exercise class every day, movies, crafts, various clubs, and outings to different places. They provide three meals a day, housekeeping, there's a hair salon on-site that is extra, and a maintenance person. She's in a studio and it's small, but she has a balcony. The staff is very helpful. The outdoor living space was the biggest reason that she chose that property. The dining room is very well appointed. They will also deliver her meals to her room if she's not feeling well. She said the food is good. It's a very clean facility.
