Walnut Woods is a nice place. We just looked at the facilities, what the cost was, and what will be included. The staff members were helpful. The apartments were adequate. The dining area was good. The place was very clean.

Walnut Woods was really nice and clean. They have a dining room, and the rooms were nice. I looked at an efficiency apartment. The staff member who helped me was very nice. They gave me a program of different activities they had for the month and it looked like they were keeping people pretty well-occupied. The food looked pretty nice and the menu was varied. Everything looked nice and it was easy to get through. Everything seemed to be working fine.

Chestnut Knoll is a relatively small place that gives very good personalized care. They've been very good and are working with me and my sister. My mother has some severe wounds that they are treating daily. We are very happy with the care they're getting. They had the option to get an apartment but decided not to. Chestnut bent over backward to give them the time to make up their minds, but in the end they chose to stay together in one big room. They have a lot of events that go on and things to do every day for the residents there. They have lots of amenities. There's a beauty salon, during Christmas they must have about 15 Christmas trees, there's a large dining area where just yesterday they were having horse races, and there are outdoor areas as well. There's also a bus to take them to doctors' appointments, they have crafts, exercise classes, and games every day. The price is a little high though.

My brother moved into Walnut Woods. It's clean, they're friendly, the food is good, and his room is very nice. It's very close to where I'm going to be moving. They have crafts and shows. They have housekeeping and laundry services if needed. The meals are in a restaurant setting, but they can have them in their rooms also.

Walnut Woods felt like a comfort place. It was very clean and didn't have an odor. I was very impressed with the cleanliness. The staff was very friendly. I felt something there compared to some other places I had been to. I was very impressed. My daughter who was with me said the same thing. The doctor's office is right next door, which is great. We also like that meals are right in the building; we didn't have to go to another building for meals. They serve three meals a day, have a cleaning service, and do your sheets for you. The bulky part of your laundry that you can't handle, they can handle for you, so that is another thing that impresses me. They had an exercise room, a very nice library and very nice areas to sit, and a nice walking area outside. They had crafts and basket weaving, visiting craft people to show you how to do things, play Wii three times a week, different church groups and Bible study, and play cards at night. They had tables set up with puzzles and you can sit down at your leisure.

My mother is in Walnut Woods. It is clean. It has lots of activities. The people are pleasant. They take them to town to shop. She is hoping for a little more flexibility than they have there. She has an apartment with a bedroom a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen area. It is basically a large room with a separate bedroom, plus a separate bathroom. The bathtub has a low stool to step in. We are actually changing that out to install a walk-in tub. They have activities like they play wheel of fortune. She does art class. Mondays and Wednesdays, they take people shopping. Tuesdays and Thursdays, they take people to doctor's appointments.

Chestnut Knoll Personal Care and Memory Care was gorgeous, and it would have been perfect. The staff was very attentive and caring, and there were a lot of activities. The rooms were perfect with the showers having call buttons.

We had lunch at Walnut Woods, and the food was good and nourishing. My wife loved her meal. Everything was smooth, and we're treated like a visiting royalty. The facility was so nice and offered wonderful things, but it didn't fit me. The cleanliness was excellent. The staff was wonderful. Even one of the cooks came out of the kitchen and talked to us. It was fantastic.
